Actually #2 is a reason why Nadal should skip Cincinnati instead of playing it. He's not going to lose any points if he doesn't play in the tournament. And Federer can only gain 400 points while there is a 485 point difference between Rafa and Roger. They're essentially locked into their seeds so Rafa not playing Cincinnati won't affect his draw at the US Open one bit.

It sounds like he is out actually.

Kind of dirty to do it after the draw. Now Novak vs. Fed would be a semi instead of a final.

Fun little read on Opelka-

Pretty impressive run in the last year. He has never made the main draw at the US Open, but enters this year with a #42 ranking.

Looks like a youth racket in his hand.

Fabio withdraws, presumably after realizing he can’t face Rafa again.

Murray is out

Opelka favored over Coric is interesting... probably means he wins

Fed wins, Serena withdraws. If Stan wins tomorrow, I think he takes out Fed on Thursday. Stan will probably be a little tired by that point, though.

That is kind of lame, but the Serb mafia runs in packs at these tournaments and can get kind of scary.

Struff was serving for the win over Shitsy but blew it.

Medvedev is a sick human.

Oh wow, I was checking the scores on the ATP website and he lost three match points in the breaker. But, he prevails. He seems to be causing guys problems late in his career here.

they need to suspend him for the us open. he probably won't give a shite, but it would send a pretty big message.

What got him going in the first place? Why was he mad at the ump?

He felt that the ump started the serve clock sooner when he was serving than when his opponent was serving. He kept bitching about non-stop for over an hour.
