people that bitch about this are so fricking irrational.

dude can guarantee he makes MILLIONS of dollars if he simply sits out 1 game. the only possible way he wont make more money than most people see in their lifetime would be to play in this game and have something unfortunate happen.

i'm sure he wants to play, but the risk/reward just isnt worth it. get the frick over yourself and appreciate what the kid already did for his school, and let next years starter get an early head start on taking over the job.

Most of it isn't that great. He was horrible at Florida. He plays in a gimmicky system, that hasn't produced great QBs. A great bowl, on the National Stage, against a solid opponent, out of conference is just what he needs to showcase his skills.

So you think NFL teams will just disregard years of tape if he has one good game?

Leaving aside how he wasn't really bad at Florida and how you're admitting he's been good at WVU, you're basically arguing NFL teams are capable of being tricked into drafting someone by one strong game. This is despite years of tape on him and the entire draft process.

Do we get multiple threads per week mad at players sitting out bowl games for the entire next 3 weeks?

You're going to have guys quitting 2-3 games into the season after their team drops a game or two. Is it their right to do that? Sure. Is it a selfish, POS move that totally goes against the idea of teamwork and commitment to team goals? Absolutely. It probably won't stop an NFL team from drafting them, but it tell you something about their character.

It’s all a business. CFB is the integral component in showcasing the talent for that business. Once that talent has been showcased and hyped to a sufficient level, I’d imagine the nfl wants the risks of something happening to the future talent minimized.

I don’t blame any of these kids and we need to just get rid of this “student athlete” farce already.

Last time I checked, the Camping World Bowl isn't a CFP game.

In comparison to other problems in life, what difference does it make?
Its only entertainment. Its not life or death.

For the "meaningless game" crowd, what does a national championship mean for a player? After all, it's just a trophy that player doesn't even get to keep.

You play until there are no more games if you're a competitor.

A drop back QB is less likely to be injured in a bowl game than say a RB or LB.

Would you risk injury and ruining your career that would yield you millions of dollars because some tard named PEPE on a message board thinks you're a pussy for sitting out a game or two?

No, you wouldn't.
