I am interested to find out over the course of recent history: How many teams have won a game by 50+ points and dropped 3 or more spots in the rankings.

Exactly, when you remove all the fluff this is what you are left with a change of events so drastic and inside a mere 5 day window...

It's nothing less than mind boggling.

Can you people stop saying this? It makes you sound very uniformed.

And it was a 2-10 team.

Oh and OSU beat a ranked team 50something to zip with their 3rd string QB

TCU is like OU.

The Sooners lost to Baylor too.

School - winning % - opponents' winning % - opponents' opponents' winning %
School1 0.923 0.571 0.535
School2 0.917 0.464 0.520
School3 0.917 0.491 0.532

You're saying that School3 was robbed blind?

Some of you still need to forget about the way the polls worked before. The selection committee said from the start that each week would be ranked off a clean slate. Previous weeks don't matter.

Ohio State, Baylor and Florida State added to their resumes this weekend by beating better opponents than TCU did.

Get the frick outta here. I'll say it again:

Without this new system, TCU would have been at best the thirD man out. Not first. THIRD.

They would not have even been part of the discussion.

I'll give you Ohio State, but do you think FSU's win was impressive enough to justify jumping them over TCU?

No and there wouldn't have even been serious discussion about it.

They beat a top 15 team, and in the process completed their second undefeated season in row while winning the ACC. So, again, yes.

There's no way an undefeated P5 team is getting left out, unless there is ever a scenario where there's 5. Especially when that team in question is the defending national champions.

Any more moronic questions from you TCU apologists?

This. It's a different world today. And probably fairer.
