Apparently not. It wasn't a foul during the play but after it goes for 6 they decide its a foul? And the penalty was for not correctly calling for a fair catch, which means he did not call for a fair catch. If that is a rule I would need to see how it's defined because that could mean damn near anything except someone actually calling a fair catch and catching it.
My biggest problem is it seemed like after it was ran back they tried to find away to take it back. Not one ref threw a flag at the time it happened.
