Would love for New Orleans to trade Tampa the Pelicans for the Rays.

Nashville just built a brand new AAA park like 3 years right off downtown

Portland doesn’t have an affiliated minor league team. Their park was turned into where the Timbers now play.

I’m wondering...Portland’s tv rights have got to be in Mariners or Giants territory. I suppose someone would get a nice payday settlement.

They're like the current version of the Los Angeles Chargers. Playing in a lousy stadium where many of your "home games" feature putrid crowds often swelled by lots of your opponents' fans.

Portland hardly gets any rain April through September. It would need to be a retractable roof not for rain but because it can be hot as balls in Portland in the summer.

For sure those 10-12 days of 90+ in Portland must be a nightmare

They need to move the Rays to Nashville. A team would do really good there and I believe the city would support the move with a new stadium.

Nashville has a freaking NFL team with eight home games that they already don't care about.

Well A) that's a different sport and B) the Sounds average over 8k fans a game as a AAA team, which is almost what The Ray's average as a MLB team

Gotta love when a sports organization tries to claim it's a great thing for fans to take away the most affordable seats so it can turn the area into a club you'll have to pay more to get into so you can have the privilege of buying massively overpriced food and drink.

Move the MLB Florida teams to Central Texas and Portland.

Move the Pels to Seattle.

No more relocations in major US sports for a while.

I mean Tampa is a city of schmucks on the wrong coast schmucking their way through life. The only person worse than the wrongcoasters is the schmuck that thought he could get anyone to go to a game in schmuck land.

What an awful area

In fairness the Marlins stadium is pretty nice. I still feel like it could work if they drafted some Island kids and made a true outreach to the Hispanic community.

The Rays are a joke tho and need to move

Tampa and St. Pete is great.

But the stadium is in the absolute worst place for a stadium if you want to legitimately bring Tampa people in to see games. Especially on weeknights/days. And the Trop itself is just an ugly arse stadium.

They are stuck at Tropicana Field until 2028. They aren’t going anywhere before then. Didn’t the Jaguars do the same thing at their stadium 3-4 years ago?

What? That whole area around the Trop has been completey built up. It's right next to the interstate. It's not the worst place for a stadium.
