Stats in 21st season:

Vince Carter’s 2nd stat line is his 22nd season

Let’s all hear it for the longevity King

that's pretty good but you should also include their ages at that point. the only ones about LJ's age were probably Garnett and Malone. 2 to 4 years difference in age matters.

I think it would look very similar if you sorted by age.

It’s pretty incredible the level of production the guy is giving at his age

Lebron was so good he didn’t have to

I think he's saying they started their NBA careers 2-4 years older than Lebron. Could it make a difference in some of those stat lines if Lebron played in college or if the others had jumped straight to the NBA? Sure. But James is putting up a lot of production at his age whatever way you cut it.

PEDs help an athlete last longer? Who’d have thought it?

That’s fair. But I think total minutes played—including playoffs—is probably a better indicator that either age or seasons played.

I get it… my point is what does anything before the NBA matter??

The point is Lebron is younger so his 21st season has less overall basketball wear due to not playing in college

It is incredible, and he deserves credit. HOWEVER, there are factors at play here:

-Medicine is better than it has ever been
-The sport is softer than it has ever been
-As others mentioned, he did not play in College and probably is the youngest person to ever play a 21st season

and most importantly:

-He is playing great at his age and deserves a lot of credit, but he is still not the GOAT or even close

So Lebron has logged even more NBA minutes than those guys.

That is a huge advantage to Lebron and makes the graphic even more impressive.

I mean realistically ….The King only would have played 35-40 more games in college… this argument a reach

Lebron has logged more NBA minutes than all of those guys, so how does he have less NBA wear?
