It takes a true idiot to defeat his own argument. You literally repeated my argument using different words and claimed it was a counter. You should’ve been in the worst poster tourney, youdve made the elite 8.

“Celtics need to eliminate the 3ball and design their defense around Daniel Theis right. I mean they won 12 titles that way so why not just do it now? Brad Stevens is trash.”

I can’t come up with anything because I’m ignorant to anything sports related but I’m so insecure I feel the need to have the last post.

If I'm starting a team from scratch with any historical player, Kobe is not in my top ten. If I'm going into a must win game with any historical player then he is probably top 5

It happens to everyone, but LeBron is the only one you won't give a pass to.

LeBron is the modern-day equivalent to Wilt Chamberlain, these two were supposed to be the GOAT and possess talents that would logically translate to them becoming the GOAT but they didn't reach it and, if LeBron doesn't go on a historic fourpeat run with the Lake Show to end his career, he probably won't ever reach it. The reason these two didn't become GOAT is plain and simple: they didn't win enough titles commensurate with their abilities. With great talent comes great responsibility. Despite compiling absurd stats on their face over a 14-year career, Wilt only has 2 rings to his name, he should have at least 4-5. Also, Wilt possessed LeBron-like tendencies as a coach killer and players from other teams didn't want to play with him until he reached his 30s. LeBron, in his 17th year, should at least have 5 rings in fact he choked away a couple in 2010 and 2011. The reasons MJ and Kobe get passes are they were not as physically talented as the aforementioned two initially, they had to work and therefore possessed the greatest work ethics of all-time respectively, were psychopathically competitive to a fault, made themselves into legends, and won a bunch of rings. When you win a bunch of rings and blow away expectations, you get a greater benefit of the doubt, how competitive sports works.

Lebrons biggest Achilles has been his unwillingness to make coaching a priority. If you take all the other top 5-10 type players one common thread through them has been the greats who’ve coached them. Jordan and Shaq had Phil, Magic and Kareem had Reilly, Russell had Auerbach, Duncan had Pop. Even guys like Bird and Hakeem had strong willed, ex players who had leadership, a defined philosophy and commanded respect. Look at how much success he had with Spolstra and even with Vogel there’s been a different on court focus. This guy could have his pick of available coaches year in and year out and if he had prioritized having a legit head coach his championship record would be much better.

This is true and, outside maybe real early in his career, LeBron can’t use the coach issue as an excuse for why he didn’t win more rings because it’s wholesale common knowledge at this point the amount of personnel power LeBron possesses relating to the teams he plays so it’s self-inflicted.

Lue is a bad coach he could literally be the #1 assistant for any team in the league. All he has to do is say the word. He is also the first choice or mentioned at the top of the list for every opening. When you have that level of respect around the league, you are a good coach. A casual fan has little to no idea how to judge coaching. You just don’t have enough information.

But for now and for a couple years after he retires we will be flooded with excuses and bodies thrown under the bus for him. Once he’s gone from the daily forced narratives he’ll be placed in proper historic context more and more.

Lol Lue’s status comes from LeBron and is a media narrative. The guy you claim is an elite coach has a grand total of 2 full seasons under his belt and hasn’t been a head coach for the last 2 lol. He’s not the number 1 assistant and even if he was the number 1 assistant isn’t even a top 30 NBA coach lol. He wasn’t anyone’s #1 choice over the last few years and the hypocrisy in your post is staggering. You have no info to back your claims yet you’re assuming someone else knows nothing. I’ve been involved in the sport most of my adult life, I coach the fricking sport and played into my mid 20s so you’re not only wrong in your assumptions you’re the polar opposite of correct.
