It is a public health issue wondering why people won't take a fully approved vaccine.

Many reasons are possible:

1. Just don't want to.
2. Evaluated their risk and decided not to get the shot.
3. They look at it as a larger choice of medical autonomy standing against tyranny.
4. They have collective bargaining rights and will fight for a bonus to get vaxxed...i.e., business decision.
5. They feel like their metabolism is higher than the normal person and are concerned that a host dependent mRNA vaccine to produce antigens will produce too many antigens before they can produce sufficient antibodies to neutralize said antigens and will escape the shot area causing microclots in capillary ends causing organ damage. (This is the main side effect causing damage in young/athletic people.)

Hurr durr, gotta do everything Trump says. Why the frick am I taking medical advice from Donald fricking Trump? He's old and fat and eats McDonald's all the time. I dont eat that shite, and Im not old and fat. Why the frick do I take medical advice from him?

I mean you realize that 99% of trump supporters like Trump bc he told the assholes in Washington and the moochers in the foreign countries to go frick themselves. And he lowered the shite out of our taxes. That's why people like Trump. Not bc he's some brilliant role model.

I live this paragraph so much, because it’s 100% true and a lot of progressives just cannot fathom anyone not idolizing politicians/celebrities but rather being much more likely to dig into issues of their own accord.

Obama is the perfect example of this. The media built him up to be some perfect man. And so many of these dumbfricks ate that shite up. Still to this day they idolize that fool.

Trumps Covid response was ,rightfully, cutting red tape to get good medicine to people faster. He was anti-lockdown because it would slow economy down.

Assuming the vaccine continues to be successful the so-called small government/pro-business crowd should love it. Biden is riding a successful vaccine that he had little to do with.

If you have, was the choice made because of your politics?

Of course not. It was based on a personal evaluation of the benefits vs. the risk rooted in the comprehensiveness and accuracy of the underlying information of said vaccine.

I can’t remember any vaccines I’ve needed to take as an adult. So the real answer is the choice was made by my mommy.

This board is by and large posters from the rural South.

Statistically, the dumbest and least educated group of people in the country by any objective measure.

Just let them continue to live in their bubble. They’ve always been on the wrong side of history (slavery, Jim Crow, gay marriage, etc.), it’s where they are comfortable.

Messages like SVP and others are trying to send are wasted on deaf ears here.

Why don't you trust vaccines?
It's not that people don't trust vaccines (well some looney toons are all around anti-vaxxers), but it's that people don't trust the government. If you want to know why people don't trust the government, well...

And, yes I did get the vaccine.

It became political when one political party starting alienating people who aren't vaccinated.

Do you really think people aren't taking the vaccine based on their politics?
