I don't get this. All these schools have excelled in some way in athletics. And they have the right to be proud of that.
When I think of delusional fanbases, I think of schools with serious cases of LBS(Little Brother Syndrome) such as Texas A&M, Ole Miss, etc.
Coming from an Alabama fan, this statement was funny considering Alabama fans are so delusional that they poison their rivals trees. But don't get me wrong y'all have an outstanding football program.

Having attended several Texas-Nebraska Football games over the years I've found their fanbase to be pretty good overall & very gracious in defeat (which they did often against Texas).

I'm sure some have their delusions about Lincoln, Nebraska being a great College Football Draw & the Huskers still being a National Powerhouse but I've never seen any myself and have always found the fanbase to be fairly level-headed.

Granted I know almost zero fans of either school but I'm not sure what makes either of these more delusional than others.

IMO, Nebraska has some of the classiest fans. I went to a game in 2000 and they were overly accomodating. If La Tech were remotely nationally relevant, they would win hands down.

He did have a case of premature ejaculation this season with the lofty preseason rankings.

I do happen to remember his posts about NC State vs UF, when it appeared UF was peaking too early

My favorite has to be his claim that the UNC/State "rivalry" was the most underrated in basketball. Problem is, UNC doesn't even remember State exist with the exceptions of the two days a year they meet.

Ark fans aren't particularly delusional. If anything we have an inferiority complex. People say we're delusional because compared to our relatively small size and stature we are remarkably invested and vocal.

The fan base is great, but they are without a doubt delusional. They think they can return to the mid 90's and those teams, but it will never happen. They're the 3rd best team in the B10 at best and it will be that way for a long time
