Taking the Lions so I don't have to waste an early pick on an elite team. Also the Jets are just awful

I was hesitant at first but I ended up going with the Saints over Tampa. If I survive week 1 then I don’t have to worry about making that emotional pick down the road.

Kirk Cousins is never a sure thing

Not a lot of easy looking games, Pittsburgh would be a good one. New Orleans should be as well but they don’t have a great history of week 1 games

If you believe in taking risks to save the big teams then I would look at the Lions over the Jets. Jets majorly overachieved last year to get to 5 wins and that first money night game is seemingly always a blowout. Also Baltimore would be a sneaky good pick because of the arse they will trot out at QB on the road. But you gotta trust Flacco, but you gotta trust a lot of teams you don’t want to if you wanna win

Missed Green Bay, I think they are the biggest locks of the group.

I know some think DET is an easy one but NYJ might be starting Darnold come week 1. We’ve seen rookie QBs come in and start out hot. I have a lot more faith in Darnold getting flukey wins than I do McCown. Also the Lions are really good at derping away games.

Never made it farther than the second week. Going with the Saints week one. Not too confident in any of the matchups.

The jets hung around .500 for most of the year, then lost something like 5 of their last 6 games. They looked like a different team to close of the season.

Almost like they tanked on purpose to position themselves for a QB in the draft. I don’t trust them to be awful Week 1
