You know how Cameron Indoor looks small on tv? It's actually smaller than that.

I've always found it unusual that major college football stadiums dwarf most every NFL stadium.

Lambeau is the third largest NFL stadium, within 1500 of the largest, and Camp Randall is about the same capacity. Both around 81,000.

The Camp is only the 5th biggest in the B1G. 17th overall.

Rice only has around 4k undergrads.

Their alumni base is small too.

The Pit was amazing. Such a shame Oregon moved into that sterile hell hole they play in now. I remember going to an Oregon-Stanford game back when Stanford was good sitting in the rafters and the place would physically shake.

I'm pretty sure it was a major earthquake risk however.

From the outside, you would never guess it's the arena. Just looks like another gothic building at Duke

In case you thought that expansion of the conferences is a good thing for FBS, may I present to you Incarnate Word of the Southland - leaving for the WAC in the fall:

As a bonus, this is their football field which will eventually be a FBS program when the WAC moves up:

Here's ALL of their baseball seating:

Not going to lie. These places look like they would be a fun spot to watch a game to decide a conference title.

Hell yeah they do!

Cameron Indoor Stadium

A total dump. A program of Duke's level shouldn't be playing somewhere like that

They used to say that if you took every person who graduated from RICE (living or deceased) and put them into the Football stadium it wouldn’t fill it up (Idk if that is still the case).

Rice Stadium held 70k at it's peak so they passed that maybe a decade or so ago w/all alumni at 82k living and dead.

Living alumni I'm fairly certain you are correct though I don't have that actual number. Their stadium's capacity has been reduced to 47k so perhaps their living alumni could fill it at this point though I doubt it.

The new Riverfront arena Baylor is going to be building will seat about 7500, over 3,000 less than the current facility. The drawings look very nice, fans will be very close to the court.

I think that was based on the old capacity and the undergrad alum.

Yet they built a quite large on-campus football stadium.
