Nah, dude…we like a good rotation of opening the season hosting powerhouses like Louisiana Christian, Centenary, UT-Tyler and UT-Dallas. Then we do the LA Tech, McNeese, Southeastern and Nicholls dance before starting conference play.

I don’t really give two shits about basketball, so really doesn’t bother me, other than football and men’s basketball are supposed to be the two revenue sports, yet basketball is a loser for us. I just as soon discontinue the basketball program and give the money to other sports.

See I think I enjoyed basketball more than football at ULM tbh. Part of that was because we had a couple good years but even without that the environment was just more fun for basketball. I think part of that was because it was less frat bros just there to chase tail and more people that actually cared.

As a young tech graduate, Tech needs this badly to get some excitement back for the fans and re-new old rivalries. Although with the idiot running the show as our coach, we may lose all those games if we played them

They should play this video prior to any discussions of voting LTU@R in the SBC.

LaTech fans will jump in here and say that Tommy went rogue, they got rid of him, and didn't condone what he said at the time.

But this was 100% the mentality of their donor base, their fan base, and their administration at the time and for years leading up to it.

I don't blame them for having it because they were positioned as the clear cut #2 athletic program in the state, and the move to the WAC prior to its demise was a great play at the time.

But it sure is funny to see it reposted from time to time.

A football conference with Oregon State, Washington State, San Diego State, Fresno State, Boise State, Colorado State, and Utah State is better than what the Sun Belt has to offer.

That video!!! Made my night. Every time any of them try to say they weren’t looking down from their high horse…yep, there you go. Cue video.

Not really. No chance of the playoffs and travel for your entire athletic program gets upended.

I mean it's still basically their attitude they're just getting desperate

I will agree that Tech is desperate, but from my time in Ruston (I was around the younger fans) most of us understood who we are as a program and really just want to bring back the rivalries to bring some excitement back to the fan base.

Listen here sonny boy, back in my day LaTech admin was so insane that if they had an underwhelming football season...they'd take their live mascot out back and shoot him. Word on the street is NoBoDawg used to do the shooting. Makes sense because it has obviously screwed up his head by the way he posts.
