Nobody would have gotten “robbed” regardless what Buffer would have announced.
I had Rd 1 & 2 for Strickland, and 3-4-5 all for DDP. But 2,3,5 were all real close.

DDP didn’t “take the belt” from Strickland. It was a close fight for sure, but that should always go to the reigning champ.

Saying it was just a close fight might be an understatement. It was pretty much a draw. Better striking and defensive from Strickland, wider range of success from DDP though really didn’t do much with the takedowns but still scored them. Strickland had the best round, problem for him is it was the first.

Same. Only thing DDP had in those rounds were takedown that did NOTHING and Strickland got right up. Strickland didn't run away with those rounds, but he was in command. DDP won 3 and 4 in the same way.
Strickland was cut in a place that bleeds and it looked bad. DDP's eyes were swollen shut because they actually were bad. He's hurting worse today.
