It actually could be better with Sark out of the picture.

The talent is not going to rehab.

I really wish Bebe was our coach for the rest of the year instead of boring arse Clay Helton.

"Boring-arse" might be exactly what y'all need right now.

Who knows how bad things were behind the scenes...

Agree with everything you're saying. I think SC and Sark will come up with a mutual agreement. I know that Sark really does love SC, so I hope he does the right thing and walks away.

You sure? He was probably drunk when he said it.

More like seven drink Sark. Lol at Pat Haden for hiring a shitty coach who is also a drunk.

Full transcript and video of Haden's statement.

LINK

quote:

Haden: This has all kind of happened very quickly. I was over at basketball, the opening basketball thing. I got a call that Coach Sarkisian wasn't at practice. I just learned about this about 1 o'clock. I called Steve. I talked to him. It was very clear to me that he is not healthy. I asked him to take an indefinite leave of absence, and Clay Helton will serve as our interim head coach. Clay is undefeated as our head coach, as you know.

I think it's the right thing for our team. I've got to always do what's right for our team and our school. I then spoke with our coaches and team. It was clear the team had a great deal of concern about the health of Coach Sarkisian. So did the staff have a concern for him.

It was also very apparent to me in the room of the support that Clay has from our team and his staff.

Big task this week. We play Notre Dame. It's not going to be easy. Clay's going to do a great job of getting our team ready and focused for that game. I don't have a lot of answers for you guys. I know you're going to want to ask me a bunch of questions, but I learned about this about an hour and 15 minutes ago, and that's all I've got.

Question: What made you determine he was not in condition to keep coaching?

Haden: Uh, it was apparent to me.

"I talked to him. It was very clear to me that he is not healthy." = drunken stupor

I would say "hard-assed" and "disciplined" would be what I want in our next HC.

It's absurd that employer's can be limited in their ability to fire an employee who shows up inebriated. As someone mentioned, how in the fvck is it their responsibility to fix him? But anyways, that's a side discussion.

The bigger question is are these coaching search conglomerates the worst entities on the planet at their job? How does a guy like Sark get a job like USC?!?!

It seems like he didn't show up to campus.

He talked to Haden on the phone.

Thus he was not on school property.

I'm trying to think of legit candidates for that job and am drawing a complete blank.

They can fire him for being drunk at work. Just do a test, although you can judge it by actions as well.
It's tougher to fire for being a drunk; and some orgs don't want to do that anyway.

Anyway, he's done at USC.

As a Houston kid, I know how it feels like to look down at the sidelines and see Kim or Clay Helton.

I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you.

A lot of preliminary talk about pro coaches.

Look for the Brinks truck to back up for whoever is hired.

It won't happen until after the season, so it's going to be a while.
