Amazing how all these coaches were cherry picked from the warriors finals runs teams because it was supposedly such a good coaching staff. Steve Kerr is no better than any other coach in this league. Amazing how only coaches with stars win it all. The players won those championships and they would have done it with any coach. Kerr out here getting beat by 50 by the 3rd quarter, trash.

It will definitely be interesting to see how long he gets a free pass.

He is an improvement over mark jackson though

Kerr being woke is probably helping him stay employed.

Turns out it wasn’t that difficult to look like an offensive savant with Curry, Klay, and eventually KD running your offense.

Nick Saban has known this for years. Better talent = more wins.

Hyperbole. He was certainly better than the guy that coached before him.

Is this the same guy who went out of his way to claim that he feared for his daughter’s safety bc trump got elected? Then he weaseled out of the spot light when asked about China and it’s lack of human rights.

You don’t have to be a great coach to win in basketball. It’s not like baseball and football where the coaches really need to be able to coach. They can ride the talent in basketball way easier.

Just when he's on the verge of being fired, he'll go on a rant about systemic racism, BLM and George Floyd and the bay area will declare a him a protected class of person who can never be fired.

Great players will always be the main contributing factor to winning championships, but it still takes the right coach to be able to negotiate the many dynamics that comes with keeping a locker room singing the same note for an entire season.

Except they couldn't get it done with Mark Jackson.

Kerr isn't as great of a coach as some people thinks he is, but he did put together the right combination of offensive and defensive philosophies to maximize Steph, Klay, and Draymond's abilities.

He's hella good at overtly-racist Identity Politics though.
So there's that.

I hate his politics, but you can't argue his record. Youre letting your emotions cloud your judgment.

As Parcells says, "you are what your record says you are"

I assume you have the same take about Red Auerbach, Phil Jackson, Saban, etc.

I’m tired of his woke BS, but being a coach in the modern NBA doesn’t entail much.

Your front office accumulates a shitload of talent, and you roll the ball out. Even if you suck at in game decisions, you’ll still get your team a couple rounds deep.

If you don’t win the ‘ship after a couple seasons, then you bitch about not having enough stars.

I can’t stand Pop’s woke shite either, but I’ll defend his coaching abilities?

Pop won the last title when Timmy was arguably the 3rd best player on the team. Hard for him to win anything before Duncan, since he started his head coaching tenure a year prior to drafting Tim. That year featured a Spurs team with its two best players injured for the duration of the year.

Look at the great coaches that have won multiple titles. Who did it without great players?

Phil coached MJ. When he went to LA, he had Shaq and Kobe. His ‘09-‘10 titles probably featured the least amount of talent, but they faced the fricking Magic and a Celtics team ready for AARP.

Get this, when Jordan ‘retired’, the Bulls didn’t win the East.
