That's basically the rub here. Kobe defense.

if playoff Steph keep this up though, he will pass playoff Kobe objectively speaking.

and imma change my rankings. also this prove I'm not no stubborn arse bitch like some out here

I can’t even believe this is up for debate. You’re talking about a top 10 player of all time compared to a top 100 player of all time(maybe)

I'm keeping my rankings even tho this is fluid. Steph could have taken over kobe if he clutched the W without KD.

If the question is either at their prime you then have to ask are you building a team in 2019 or earlier?

Because the way the game is played and called by the officials in 2019 is far different than when Kobe was in his prime and even more different way back in my favorite era with the Bad Boys, Bird and Johnson. When Kobe was making NBA All-Defense teams they were not calling the "breathed on him" fouls they call today. The NBA of 2019 wants to showcase the three instead of great team play and defense and the officiating has followed suit. So in 2019 I go with Steph. Now, if he were at his prime in 2019, I would take Pistol Pete over either as his game would have been perfect for this era.

Note, If Curry played in the Bad Boy era he would have been a bench player like Vinnie Johnson.

Steph's skill affects the way an entire team plays defense and opens up space for everyone else on the court.

But if I need someone to be able to get off a tough shot that has a chance of going in amidst double and triple teams, I take Kobe.

Pete shot the ball as well as Curry but had better ball movement despite being on teams bereft of talent. If you do not believe that, regardless of your age, you have never seen him play. He only had two years with the three point shot and he played those years injured yet shot at 66.7% from the arc. In his best years with the Jazz teams could always double him on defense because his supporting cast was mostly has-beens and never-weres.

My head tells me steph, but I would rather have had Kobe in this series. No doubt about that.

On 15 TOTAL attempts.

I love the Pistol but give me a break with using this to support any kind of shooting argument.

There is decent footage. He made passes I still have never seen another NBA player make.
