Who is the most likely state to get a big 4 pro team?
It's only a matter of time before Las Vegas gets a NBA or MLB team so the answer to your question is Nevada.

Which state is the most surprising that doesn't have a team?

Virginia,
Has to be #1. That state is wealthy as frick because a lot of rich people that work in the DC/Baltimore area actually live in northern Virginia because the taxes are so much lower there.
The only other states that I could see getting or being able to support a pro team is Connecticut (wealthy state, home base for ESPN) and South Carolina. Maybe Kentucky has an outside chance of getting a NBA team but I don't see the other states ever getting a pro sports team.

Jersey is the 2nd wealthiest state in the country and has the highest population density of any state and only has the Devils(after the Nets move to NYC).
Did I miss the mass exodus by the giants and jets out of Nj?

Louisville getting an NBA team makes the most sense to me. Seems weird that Virginia doesn't have a team, but I don't think Richmond is big enough to support a MLB team, which would probably be the most logical fit for the state.

I can see Conneticut or Iowa or Nebraska or another Northern state getting a hockey team.

no one really cares about hockey in the midwest other than St Louis and if any midwest city got a team it would be KC

North Datoka has a huge hockey following but they have the wild.

Virginia seems to be the closest of any of those.
The only area that could support it would be Northern VA.

And you're also missing Kansas.

Tennessee has the Griz, Preds, and Titans. I hate all of them.

The MLS team in Kansas City is on the Kansas side of the border. But MLS isn't the big 4.

Redskins already
practice there, team headquarters is there, training camp is there and most the players live there

I know this. I'm just saying that Richmond isn't getting a big 4 team. It would obviously be a relocation of the Redskins, Capitals, Nats, or Wizards.
