If run right the 1-3-1 is a thing of beauty.
Well, to be honest, 1-3-1 (along with the bloat of goalie equipment size) almost killed hockey IMO. Back then there was still the two line pass rule and it lead to a huge down turn in scoring in the league. The NHL got rid of the two line pass rule and it really helped to loosen up the neutral zone.
I admire a stout 1-3-1 back in the day because it required a very disciplined team effort from top to bottom (see NJ Devils) however it didnt make for very exciting hockey for people watching.
I think the league is better off for working its way out of that "dead puck" era

Boudreau to Wild?
The Central just go tougher if that were possible.

I am so ready for some Hockey. Go Preds!
Or, of course, we could send time reading riviting treads about hot seats, best uniforms and dead dogs.
I prefer Hockey.

Funner to end it at home anyways. NHL gets what they wanted, additional game.

Caps played their worst game of the series and got the win. Because that's how life works. Good to see Holtby play awesome, though. Two more, just like that.
Ovi has been insane all series long. If the Caps manage to come back, it will because of his extreme effort. Someone other than Oshie needs to match that effort. Still no secondary support.

Sharks are the fresher team... by a mile. This could get ugly. Zero procession time for Nashville.

I think they would've won cup 2 years ago if beat kings game 7 Rd 1
Then they do Shark like things

You don't really think that was their worst game.
