WOOOOO!!! THANK GOD FOR THE PARALLAX EFFECT!!

The puck may or may not have crossed the line, but the parallax effect distorts the image which makes the shot that NBC used inconclusive. It's literallt a trick of the eyes. And the overhead shot had Holtby's body blocking the line. So science and perspective makes the call on the ice stand! Woooo!! And then the NHL made my dork heart go uh-flutter by actually referencing the parallax effect in their postgame comments.

But hey, we'll spot you the goal. You still lost.

Caps outplayed the Pens all weekend, but not by leaps and bounds, so 1-1 is a fair result. Caps could be up 2-0 with better luck (Murray didn't see the puck on two of his saves in Game 1 and just got plain lucky... hey, them's the breaks, he was in the right place to get lucky). Gotta win one in Pittsburgh though.

And Tom Wilson absolutely should be suspended for his elbow to the head. That was stupid and dirty.

I think the Jets will take it here. Too many missed chances. Preds lose this one and they don't make it out of this round.
...glad I was wrong. Hoping for a split in Winnipeg. It's like the Avs series all over again. Just against a better team.

was a pretty obvious goal to me, not sure how they missed it.

Nashville has their work cut out for them in the great Western Canadian Truckstop . I can see a likely split up there.

Malkin and Hagelin full go at Pens practice this AM. Malkin will for sure be back for Game 3, Hagelin will be close.

Because the red line isn't on the ice, it's below the ice. And an angle from across the ice would show a puck sitting on the line as behind the line due to your perception. That's the parallax effect, and why only the above goal cam can determine if it crossed. the review was inconclusive, so the call on the ice stood.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will not bring back Lou Lamoriello as general manager for the 2018-19 season, the team announced Monday.

"Three years ago, Lou and I agreed on a contract that would see him serve as General Manager of the Maple Leafs for three years and then transition to Senior Advisor for the following four years," Shanahan said. "This morning I informed Lou that I was not going to deviate from that course of action. I will now focus all of my attention towards making a decision regarding our next general manager.

It’s the Gelinas no goal in Game 6 of the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals all over again. The replay made the puck appear as if the puck was across the line, but replays weren’t apparently conclusive.
