For baseball I would like to see an all out shift. For a right handed batter I would pull the left fielder, 3rd baseman, and shortstop. Move all three to the ride side of the infield and outfield. Pitch the batter away the entire at bat.

I would like to see qb sneaks at random times of the game.

1. If I’m up 14+ points in the 4th qtr, I purposely get a a couple false start penalties after every running play to milk the clock even more. Not sure when the refs will warn me not to do that.
2. If a team is going for it 4th and 1 at the goal line, I’d tell my LB to aggressive jump the center like Troy Polumolu every time. Worst case is a offside and the move an inch closer. But if my jumping player times it right, I stop them on 4th down.
3. Tell my WR to let the DB run into them if the DB is not looking back to the ball. Pass interference every time.

So you'd be begging the hitter to pull the ball and get an easy hit? Even if you pull a ball on the outside part of the plate, it's likely a ground ball to the 3rd baseman who isn't there.

Baseball teams in September should have a Trindon Holiday type speedster to pinch run if someone gets a single in the 9th and you're down a run. Quickly steal 2 bases and get a tying runner on third with less than 2 outs.
Expanded rosters in September means plenty of extra roster spots for a speedster. If you have a specialist like a closer, why not a running specialist?

Most playoff teams do

So you get 50-50 chance of a big completion...or you probably just get a regular punt out of if it's intercepted.

quote:Would have to be really short, since the WRs are usually still running down the field when a Hail Mary is usually thrown.
What about a Hail Mary to the right corner of the field (think ole miss/bama from Saturday). As the qb sets his feet, a wr sprints to the left side and would be wide open.
Not sure it would work on like a 60 yarder, but from 45 yds in, it should be successful, as the trajectory of the ball wouldn't be large enough to give the db's time to recover....

I'm confused, if you're winning on defense you mean? Why would you do that?
Because you only give them one legit shot at scoring, rather than multiple attempts.

Just watch a Patriots game, Tom Brady does this alot and it usually goes for 7+ yards

Like I said, but you're relying on athletes being idiots and not intentionally knocking it down.
You see it all the time...4th down and 20 and some knucklehead intercepts the pass 30 yards down the field...and gives up 30 yards of field position.
So it's not 90% chance of incomplete...that's not even remotely close. Hail Marys get intecepted all the time, they are the easiest interceptions.
Not remotely close based on evidence. Players love intercepting passes...or
It could be complete. It's more like 50% incomplete...30% intercepted...and 20% caught.
Plus the topic is crazy sports strategies.
I'd bet people would be surprised how often Hail Mary's just end up being regular punts.

The attempts are fruitless because you don't allow them to attempt to even catch the ball. You just PI them before they have a chance.
Then, once you get to the untimed down, you play it like you normally would.

4 TEs. Unstoppable to defend in the current NFL and College league. Get 4 pass catching TEs and no one could stop you. Run the ball down their throats with 4 guys as big or bigger than LBers then next play have them running 15 yards down the middle of the field against DBs 5'' shorter

When the offense has the ball I want to see an entire offensive unit made up of wide receivers, running backs, one tight end, and two dual threat quarterbacks. The running backs and one tight end will be the offensive line at the snap. As soon as the ball is snapped it’s lateral time. Just like they do at the end of the game. Goal here is to wear out the defense by making them chase sideline to sideline. The four defensive lineman are useless in this scenario and it would be 11 vs 7 in favor of the offense. If a player is sacked for a 20 yard lost. No big deal. Quick no huddle offense get on the line and snap the ball again. Right back to lateral plays. Defense does not get to sub or to rest. When the offense has a solid first down fall down and snap again quickly. Defense would be so gased after 2-3 plays the offense would have no trouble moving the ball. This offense can not be stopped.
I busted out laughing at the image of this.

I just want to see a fat huge arm QB again
Posted on 11/13/17 at 3:21 pm to StrongBackWeakMind
I'm not going to pretend like I know the nuances of snapping the ball from the center, but I would love to see a team lineup like they are going to sneak it with the QB, but the center snaps it through the QBs legs to the RB. The offensive line blocks like it's a sneak, the QB fakes the sneak, but the RB runs a sweep.
