Jimmy Graham played 1 year of football at Miami after quitting basketball and had 17 catches and 213 yards before going to the NFL with 95th pick in the 3rd round.

He turned out to be a pretty good TE.

Randall Gay couldn't beat out Travis Daniels and Corey Webster at LSU and became a decent starting NFL CB with two rings.

Yeah that was a big miss. That was the same draft that produced Bush Harper Evans and Colston. He woulda been the icing on the cake

James Wright caught zero passes last year for LSU. I believe he had 5 for the Bengals this year and he was somehow drafted.

I seem to remember Luke Kuechly being a 2-3 star.

Some guys just have drive and/or blossom late. Or they slip under the radar in HS (probably less common nowadays)

Whatever happened to Lofa Tatupu. Drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2005(2nd Round, 45th Overall.)Some teams had him rated lower than the second round. Seahawks general manager Tim Ruskell, who used two fourth-round picks to move up nine spots in the draft to get him, took some criticism for trading up for Tatupu, who was considered slightly undersized and a little slow. Made the Pro Bowl his rookie year and in 2006 and 2007. But his career seemed to fall off.

Jason Peters was a 300lb blocking Tight End at Arkansas, declared early for the draft, went undrafted, and has become one of the best Left Tackles in the league.

I can't remember, but I want to say that he was a relatively unheralded 2 or 3 star who was recruited as a DT.

Tom Brady

Brady was selected with pick #199, a compensatory pick, in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft

Tulane and Mcneese St. were the only schools to offer Matt Forte out of HS

Danny McCray was maybe the worst defensive back (who actually saw the field) in LSU history, and he's been in the NFL for like 6 years now.

Demarcus Ware was a low rated, lowly recruited wide receiver from Auburn high school that went on to be a star defensive end at Troy, then with the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos.

Kuechly was just a massive miss on a lot of levels.

He wasn't even really a late developer. He was a monster in high school playing for a national powerhouse in one of the best high school leagues in the country. The rating services flat out got him way wrong.

I saw him play several times in high school against teams with a lot of BCS level talent, and he was the best player on the field every single time.

Notre Dame (his first choice) just totally whiffed (thanks Weis) - he would come back and haunt us. Ohio State and Michigan also whiffed big-time with him.

Tracy Porter was a 0-star recruit.

Ryan Clark was ignored by most big time schools. Dinardo recruited him because he was a local talent. In 2001 Clark was an undrafted free agent because he "lacked NFL size".

Pretty good list, esp. Bart Scott (for being a smaller school guy). Wasn't Ninkovich drafted by the Saints, but didn't fit scheme-wise? He's obviously solid in NE.

He was a long snapper with the saints

I think Pats signed him as a camp snapper, and he was doing well that they rewarded him with some defensive snaps and he apparently showed out
