Yes. So was part of the panhandle of Florida. Mobile, in fact, was the first capitol of the Louisiana colony and then was part of MS before it ultimately became part of Alabama

Jay-z said it best...
"You made it a hot line. I made it a hot song."

That’s pretty embarrassing for them. Their Mardi Gras sucks too. It’s not like they can even claim they do MG well.

So, what's your point?
Your Mardi Gras rivalry request has been denied
Look forward to seeing your 10 win team with a million returning starters get boat raced by Tulane

Louisiana was the biggest segment of the US with New Orleans being the 3rd most populous city at a point in history. It's sad what it's all become now from what it was.

The crime in mobile is very comparable to New Orleans
Since when has mobile ever been a destination city for tourism

Mobile people can’t wait to tell someone about their Mardi Gras
Posted on 8/31/23 at 5:41 am to lsufball19
Partly true. Before briefly becoming part of the “Mississippi Territory” and then it’s own state, Mobile was a part of West Florida (both British and Spanish) from 1763 until 1812.

I can’t wait to hear all the “we don’t care we made it better” statements while people actively get mad and care

I’ll be the first to admit that Mardi Gras sucks and is overrated. If Mobile invented it then good for them.

Wut? Please explain.

mardi gras is only overrated if you've never ridden though or are a tourist who never leaves the quarter for MG even when bourbon is a wall to wall sea of drunk idiots.

In laws own a place on St. Charles hoss. It’s about as “easy” as MG can be. It was on before kids. Now, would rather an ice pick to the balls.
But I also understand some people hate sitting in a deer stand so c’est la vie

Gonna have to give Mobile the edge based on one important piece of data:
Mardi Gras ladders, tarps:
Nola: 2.4 million too many
Mobile: 0
