If I was a Lakers fan I think I'd rather them trade every other player on the roster instead of Russell. Clarkson and Randle are fine but D'Angelo is the one guy who could be a centerpiece imo.

Cheating doesnt generally cause rifts in the locker room, thus causing drops in on court performance. I think people are giving more shite to dlo because his actions are those which have caused drama by inserting himself in someone's private business and making it public.

That'd be a knee-jerk move. Trade the most talented player they have to placate a bunch of roster fillers.

Who the frick is going to want to play with him? I mean I guess a lot of people hate Kobe, but that's just because he's a dick in general.

If I knew someone outed another person in my profession about something in their personal life, I sure as frick wouldn't ever want to be around that person.

I could argue that cheating on a spouse is very immature. My argument would be that folks who cheat are too immature to be on their own, and require a spouse. But at the same time they still want to frick around. Wanting to frick around but at the same time needing to be in a relationship is immature IMO.

Your argument assumes a specific motivation/cause, which wouldn't apply to lots of people, especially those married with kids. Does it apply to Nick? Maybe. I don't know, because I don't know him. I do think it's easy to tear him down, but I would be careful. Just because he cheated doesn't mean that he doesn't love Iggy. The guy is a millionaire with O-T 9's throwing hot arse at him whenever he steps out the door. No one is perfect.

Does he deserve what's coming to him? Sure, but I wouldn't necessarily label him a tpos who is a total loser blah blah blah

I think there would be a good chance of a trade on 60% or so of the other teams in the league. But with him playing on the Lakers, I don't think it'll happen.

Well by that logic, who would want to acquire someone that is so toxic to a locker room?

Ehhh, Russell just needs to apologize, say he was a bad teammate because he was immature and jealous of Swaggy P. (I have a feeling that's what the story boils down to.) That would go a long way toward cooling off the situation.

Regardless, Swaggy cheating on his wife likely isn't going to ruin the locker room. What D'Angelo did is/will.

Deangelo has been playing fairly well as of late. Up and down but his ups are nice. If he improves going into next year LA would be idiotic to trade him.

Will Russell have to answer questions from the media about this? And can y'all imagine what Kobe had to say about it? At this point in his career and life, this seems like something he'd be furious about. Goddamn, how do you do this to a teammate?

We were talking about that earlier, Kobe can't say shite because he did the same thing to Shaq.

They're engaged, and were dating while Russell was in college. It's not like Swaggy beat him to a girl they both liked. Rookies don't usually walk into the NBA and get jealous of older guys' fiancés. Russell is fricking weird.
