Yikes. Yall need to not mention Lebrons name with MJ. Lebron isn't even the best player of his era yet. That's still Kobe even though I hate that POS. And Kobe is/was no MJ.
Also to the people saying Jordan wasn't a better passer, I am guessing you never seen Jordan play. It's unreal that yall even think that you can start to compare Lebron to MJ at this point.

I was a huge Jordan fan as a kid and have to say...time will tell who is truly greater.
LeBron is probably about halfway through his career and he's just now really hitting his prime imo, where he'll be the best in the game for the next few years barring any injury. I fully expect that he'll get at least 4 championships and likely more MVPs which will solidify him as top 5 all-time.
I personally don't think he'll ever pass Jordan as the GOAT in my eyes or the eyes of many, but he has a legit shot at getting to about #2 or 3. I wasn't around to watch the era before Jordan but I can honestly say that LeBron put on one of the best Finals performances I've seen and he's probably the best player I've seen not named Jordan...and this includes Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, etc. Because I'm not too proud to actually enjoy the moment, I'll just be excited to see where his career goes.

Great post.
Why does he have to be jordan? He's 27 and has a great shot at being the 2nd best player ever. Even if you dislike him as a person for whatever reason, dont let that stop you from enjoying one of the best talents basketball has ever seen.

Yes. But he still has half his career ahead of him.
damn you think hes gona play 18 to 20 years
he has about 3 more prime years before we see a decline , but he will still be great at the 4 with the way his post game has come along

So you don't think he plays till he's 36? Also to the person who said all the teams in the past are >>>>>>>> than the present you are an idiot.

how old are you?
The NBA is much different now, esp with style of play the way Lebron flops and goes flying every time he is touched would never get called in the 80's to mid 90's. Which i never get why he does being the beast he is.

Don't act like Jordan didn't get every call either. It's a terrible flaw in the NBA the guys that don't need any help are the ones that get it.

When MJ was at where Lebron is now in his career I bet almost nobody thought he would surpass Magic.
Hell, even if most don't remember, just watch the show about the Dream Team.
They talk about how MJ still wasn't thought of on the all time level as Magic during the show.
I'm not saying Lebron will ever top MJ(though he will top everyone else, I have no doubt about that), but people either weren't old enough or just have completely forgotten how MJ was thought of during his career and only remember the thoughts after his career was over.

He is clearly unrivaled in this era. Kobe has never played the game at the level Lebron did this year(and other years for that matter).

It's funny because I think trying to say Kobe is better than Lebron is equally ridiculous.

o MJ def got calls later on in his career but he def earned them from the beating fouls he took esp in the 80's

Good to see you back and posting post-NBA Finals lol.
UnknownKnight hasn't posted anything hoops related in who knows how long. And of course Bomber is salty, as usual.
And even worse, CptBengal has kind of disappeared, other than a random ridiculous, hypocritical post here and there.

So just looking at basketball-reference.com and comparing Jordan's 1991 NBA Playoffs vs Lebron's 2012 Playoffs:
MJ:
17 games
FG: 197/376 52.4%
3pt: 10/26 38.5%
FT: 125/148 84.5%
1.1 ORB/game
5.3 DRB/game
6.4 REB/game
8.4 assists/game
2.4 spg
1.4 bpgs
2.5 turnovers
31.1 points
Lebron:
23 games
FG: 251/502 50%
3pt: 22/85 25.6%
FT: 173/234 73.9%
2.3 ORB/game
7.4 DRB/game
9.7 REB/game
5.6 assists/game
1.9 spg
0.7 bpgs
3.5 turnovers
30.3 points
Bout equal with Lebron having more rebounds, more 3's and FT's. Please do not cloud peoples opinions on Lebron with your facts.

Jordan higher FG%, better 3 pt%, more steals per game, more assists per game, more points per game, less turnovers per game
oh yea, LeBron had more rebounds though

Dude give it up. There are some great teams out there right now, is there as much depth in the league as before, probably not. But the great teams are just as good as the older great teams. Nostalgia really alters peoples perception way too much.
