And how old are you now?
In other words, HOW were you watching?
And have you considered that you may be biased due to your parents' Carolina ties?
Again, my point stands: Enjoy the ride and evaluate when it's over.
I'm of the opinion that Jordan is the greatest, but what happens if James stays at this level of play for an extended period of time? Right now, we're seeing a guy who defends and scores like Jordan while passing like Magic. frickING ENJOY THIS shite.

UNC is one of the best public schools in the country and has been for years.
My mom was there when they won it MJ's freshman year and said she saw someone throw a fridge out a window.
But an Ole Miss fan bashing another school on how good of a school it is

While technically true, you didn't try to preface that by admitting you were too young to really comprehend what you were watching.

That's because he has adapted to the game. You don't think MJ would do the same thing if he could get a foul called every time?
no
You must be joking. MJ complained about non-calls more than anyone.

Exactly, and that's my point.

espn classic my friend
Someone actually made that exact point earlier when we were talking about how things were always better back in the day.
What you've seen is ONLY MJ's accomplishments. What you see from Lebron is everything. YOu were around(I was a bit too young as well for the most part) for all of MJ's "failures" and MJ having a lot of the same labels as Lebron, for example, all the talk about how a scorer like MJ would never win a title blah blah blah.
That is why things seemed so much better in the past.

So you watched those games with the preconceived bias that you were watching the GOAT.
Some of us watched Jordan playing WITHOUT that bias, just as we're watching James play no WITHOUT that bias.
And in the 80s, he was NOT seen as the GOAT, and there were many arguments against his greatness... and none of them involved rings.

i started understanding it all around 88/89 when i was old enough to become and grasp being a sports fan
back when the redskins were good

A prime Shaq is better than Lebron, and people want to say LBJ is better than MJ

I love threads were people put absolute limits on how good a player's career is/will be while it's still on-going. I also thoroughly enjoy when these same people claim to know how long someone's prime will last and when their production will begin to decline. Even better these are the same people who are absolutely sure that certain players will never win championships.
You never disappoint me, MSB.

I'm not trying to be an arse, but you were simply not understanding it "all" when you were 3 years old.
