Last week before playoffs, some schools may shut it down so they don't take a chance of missing playoffs.

I was told that the entire football team for DTHS is under quarantine. That may be a little extreme to most, including me. I was also told that next week’s football game is going to be canceled as well.
The talk is DTHS has over 400 students in quarantine at the moment.

If the test came back positive after the game, both Dutchtown and Ellender would be eligible to come off next Friday. They could both play their playoff games on Saturday, I believe.

CHS would crush them anyway. Even with the starting QB out . CHS huge favorite to win state again even with the freshman QB. No reason to play them.

Will Cover. You should stop spreading rumors. Yours is wildly inaccurate.

Expect a lot of cancellations for playoff teams
No sense playing, rest up and hope you don't have any outbreaks before first playoff game

That is not accurate, nothing happened over the weekend to change the status of all the kids that played Friday

Now that could be true, there are tons of kids out due to mandatory contact tracing after positives

My school just sent home over 130 kids in one announcement. It is getting bad

because contact tracing is really what's sinking most games.

I've said this in other threads but it seems to get lost, there are conflicting guidelines in place when it comes to Louisiana schools:
1. During the current phase, there really aren't restrictions when it comes to class sizes and minimum distance between desks/students.
2. When following contact tracing protocol, you must still follow the anybody within 6 feet for 15 minutes rule
So, schools currently don't have to enforce minimum distance measures in classrooms but must still report anyone within 6 feet of a positive test...what you get is a shite ton of kids sent home.
