And….

Burrow-Chase
Allen-Diggs
Brees-Thomas/Colston
Manning-Harrison/Wayne

Gee…I guess QBs still need a pretty good receiver to throw to in order to maximize the most of their own abilities.

It was a bit of both for me. Inexperience in the Ravens secondary, and a decent game by Tua.

It’s almost like he entered the league coming off a broken hip, had the most dysfunctional front office in the NFL, a head coach that hated him, a bottom 3 o-line, no name runningbacks, and mediocre receivers his first 2 years

By no means am I crowning Tua, but he was absolutely set up to fail

Aaron Rodgers, a top-3 QB in the league, has been completely pedestrian the first two games of the season. If you’re receivers suck in today’s NFL, you’re gonna have a bad time

Confusion doesn't equal inexperience. Marlon Humphrey was recently the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL. Along with Marcus Peters, they arguably are the two best corners in football period. They also played Davis and Levi Wallace, also of BAMA fame.

Where it all went south for the Ravens was in the second half, Tua threw for 319 yards and five touchdowns with the Dolphins essentially putting the ball in his hands to erase a 21-point halftime deficit. He was particularly effective in the fourth quarter, completing 13 of 17 passes for 199 yards and four scores.

Hell of a definition of a "decent" game.

His receivers were wide open. His balls still seem to float a bit and vulnerable to INTs if coverage was better.

He did throw 2 INTs.

However he led his team to comeback against one of the toughest teams to play at home

Wildly inexperienced Ravens secondary.

Do not forget to completely guard Hill. The coverage was so bad on both of his long TDs that even though it was underthrown, they werent able to make a play on the ball. I havent come across that argument in 2022.

Were they supposed to start pounding the ball up the middle? He had to throw, it worked out because the Ravens secondary blows even going back to last year.

This time 100. I am not a Tua fan, but you have to see what he has had to work with in the past and what he has now. He was not given the tools to be successful before, and now he has everything at his feet that he has no excuse if he fails. So far, it looks like he's turned a corner and should have a good season

One "go" play does not 50 throws in the game make. The other long ball to Hill was contested. He just happens to be as fast as lightning. Tua was throwing it quickly and on time in small windows to both Hill and Waddle all game. That also includes the tight ends.

The one to Gesicki was a good throw and a good catch. Honestly, the one to Waddle at the end probably wasnt a good throw. When Waddle makes his break he is open and has a ton of room breaking to the inside. The position the ball is put in makes him have to stop and jump for it instead of continuing his route. Who cares, it worked.

And so many people on this board thought he was going to be a stud starting QB for whichever team gave him a free agent contract, and there were folks calling Pete Carroll a moron for deciding to start a rookie QB named Russell Wilson over Flynn.

Yeah, and that was the point I was making that apparently either went over a lot of people's heads, or they are just that much in denial about any possibility that they are wrong about Tua being a star.

People just don't seem to learn to stop overreacting to one game.
