And this is suppose to be more impressive than a true freshman beating the defending champs, #1 team lead by a Nick Saban defense?

He tore Bama up... ripping the ball all over the field.

Still a team sport. He didn't do that with Wisconsin's roster.

That being said I'll agree he's the best true freshman QB I've ever seen. And it seems obvious he has staying power. This isn't a fluke season. He will dominate the next 2 years

First name that jumped in my mind was Michael Vick, but he was a RS Freshman.

ETA:

Vick led the NCAA in passing efficiency in 1999, a record for a freshman (180.4) and the third-highest all-time mark. Vick won both an ESPY Award as the nation's top college player and the first-ever Archie Griffin Award as college football's most valuable player. He was invited to the 1999 Heisman Trophy presentation and finished third in the voting behind Ron Dayne and Joe Hamilton. Vick's third-place finish matched the highest finish ever by a freshman up to that point, first set by Herschel Walker in 1980.

He is what Todd Marinovich's dad wished his son could be.

Trevor is best prospect ever actually

A

247 has him as the top pro-style prospect since they've been doing their rankings (2000).

Yes. Granted, that OL was sick. There will be some turnover this year but it's still scary considering that they'll get most of the "skill" positions back.

More physically gifted than Peyton, but I don't get the vibe that he's nearly as cerebral.

Regardless, he's special.

It's kind of like Lebron James or Mike Trout or Usain Bolt. They seem like they were made in a lab by scientists just for their sport.

Will become the greatest NFL QB under the direction of head coach Drew Brees for the New Orleans Saints.

He has a funky delivery. He also puts a lot of arc on his throws.

I used to work in the city where he played in high school. I was hearing about this kid when he was in middle school. Saw him play once as a Soph - obviously we’ve all seen it now but you could even see this in him when he was that young. Dude was born to play QB. Great arm, commanding presence, actually a good kid too

That is a dumb comment. Did you see the 35 yard rope across the middle to A Scott....it was a laser. The arc passes were touch passes that pretty solid as well.
