As a huge Conor fight fan from the beginning I find it hilarious that he went from sing “frick Donald Trump” in a club to this.

He seems to have the convictions of a teenage girl going where the when BLOWS (pun intended)

McGregor thinking that actual democracy, where every person votes on every issue, works is enough to disqualify him for office.

He won't win or even come close, Ireland is bizarrely left wing

Imagine if we somehow had McGregor as President of Ireland and Andrew Tate as UK PM.

It's not that easy. First he has to gain support from the 20 members of the Oireachtas in the lower and upper houses of parliament.

or he has to be nominated by four of Ireland's 31 local authorities.

So he has to be nominated, then win the majority of the votes.

Neither of which will happen, because as others here have said, he's not well liked in Ireland.

Ireland does need a transformative right wing movement that will get them back to some semblance of reality.

Conor has too much baggage for him to be it

He is also just not smart at all and a bad human being

I don’t know how anyone is behind this. There are extremely smart and successful people in Ireland who also hold right wing beliefs in Ireland. 1,000s of them

Why anyone thinks Conor is the answer is insane to me

Actually, that is literally the definition of direct democracy.

won't work for a government of any size but it is not a definitional problem - The ancient Greeks did it but hardly anybody was a male landholding citizen.

(I tutor GED so I know).

He isn’t the answer but neither is importing hordes of illiterate third worlders

Is there anything that actually matters other than solving the existential crisis that is the migrant issue? From that standpoint, he may be the answer, as would anyone else who can do something to stop the national suicide taking place.

….why?

Entertainment value is off the charts here. Does no one else see this? Conor as President? And as I said above, how can he be worse than what Ireland has now? This is a win-win for the entire world.

Dumb statement. The dude is very smart. He may be a loose cannon but that guy is definitely very intelligent. You don’t go from nothing to his level of success by being dumb. The guy is a very good speaker and one of the best athletes I have ever seen at marketing.

Plenty of really dumb people become very rich

Just like plenty of very smart people are poor
