Not that great of a signing really.

he's old for a RB and probably on the down side of his career but he's still productive and makes the Falcons better...he's replacing Michael Turner.

ETA: plus he won't have to carry the entire load. As a Saints fan I'm not happy about it. Jackson is a Saint killer.

Its ok dude. At least your team won the Super Bowl. We'll take the division the next 5 or so years. Everything is cyclical. You'll be back on top years from now. Keep your head up.

He's still put up ridiculous numbers as the Rams' only offensive talent...everyone focusing on him on defense

fricking great signing

Falcons fan here. Statistically he's not totally out there. Question is whether his productivity stays up/increases in Atlanta. If it is even, you're not gaining THAT much.

Not sure what's so funny. He's going into his 10th year at a tough position. You think he's gonna be at a top level for 5 more years? His numbers have been decling the last couple years. It's not a terrible signing, but it's not a game changer. Yall offense does ok with or without him.

Last year we had turner getting one yard a carry

SJax is old but his productivity has not dropped that much

Major upgrade from Turner

SJax won't stay healthy past the 6th week of the season.

He's a major upgrade over Turner anyway you look at it.

I really like Steven Jackson. The dude is a beast; very underrated these past year. I will not be surprised to see career numbers for Jackson next season. Still...will not be enough to stop the Saints from clinching the division.

he's been the most consistent RB in the NFL over the last like 7 years. i dunno if last year by itself was ridiculous but he's had a ridiculous career. it's a good signing any way anyone wants to spin it.

Welp. The division is wrapped up. Guess the Saints, Panthers and Bucs will scrap for 2nd place....like last year.

I think it is a great move. Let Sjax and Rodgers take the load this year and maybe next, then hope to land at solid a late round back. That way they aren't wasting a top pick on draft pick any time soon.

Yeah, just a notable upgrade at RB. No biggie.

Our offense will rip their defense a new a-hole. It goes both ways.
