Seattle definitely needs a team
Las Vegas would be a good option as well
I think St. Louis or Louisville would be good markets as well

Nobody watching that crap.

When LeBron retires the NBA is going to fall off a cliff.

Add Seattle, add Vegas, move Memphis and New Orleans to the East, lets do it.

STL already has a winter sport. KCMO would be a better fit.

Effectively yes.

With all the players insisting on superteams of 2-3 max stars and a bunch of other guys on minimum contracts, there ends up being about 6 good teams and 24 versions of the Washington Generals.

Everyone would watch the Globetrotters vs the Globetrotters. Generals vs Generals? Less so.

There’s enough starpower in the league to keep people interested.

There are 30 NBA teams and at any given time 2-3 of them are relevant.

The fact "adding more teams" is even remotely on the radar tells me the NBA will never be a quality product ever again.

“Add more teams” means that Silver and the owners are hemorrhaging money and they see two suckers paying around a billion each in expansion fees as an easy fix.

Problem is that MLB had this same problem and it arguably made things worse by doing so.

They expanded (Marlins and Rockies) to pay off collusion judgments but it didn’t fix the ill will between players and owners, leading to the 1994 season ending strike and eventually a new round of expansion (Rays and Diamondbacks) to cover losses from the strike and reduced attendance afterward.

If they don’t fix a lot of their issues, which includes the social justice bullshite pissing off fans and letting players basically force their way out of multi-year contracts, they are fricked long term.

You likely insulted aliens with that comment. Hopefully they won't come after you.

Nope, ship sailed when MLS team was announced.

Kansas City would make much better sense. NBA arena, with no pro team to be the tenant.

Its not just that the NBA is all in on social justice its that everything about the game is geared towards inner cities from top to bottom. There's no blue collar appeal in the NBA anymore. You can laugh all you want but its true. NBA culture is a problem.

I'm surprised Nosferatu hasn't started a midnight basketball league yet.

This is very true, tiggerthetooth. I tried to watch the NBA last season and as a white male, I got the feeling they didn't want me as a fan.

Two expansion teams in the West only shifts one team to the East.
15+2-1 = 16
15+1 = 16

And the snowflakes triggered by Lebron's existence will return once he retires from the league.
