Burrow was mediocre last year and a Heisman winner this year. His weapons didn’t change, he didn’t change, so what did change?

I rest my case.

Chemistry with the receivers is important. He didn't have time to develop that last year. And LSU had some puzzling personnel groupings last year trying to identify who the best wide outs were. That is now known.

The system came from the NFL did it not?

He makes all the right throws and right decisions.

When somebody has a completion percentage like Burrow’s, it’s a common response for people to say, “Oh, that’s just on screens and easy throws.” This stat shows otherwise. Among the top quarterbacks, the highest since they started tracking the metric was Mayfield at 55.7 percent. Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa was second at 55.5 in 2018. Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray was 54.3. Nobody else topped 50 percent at that length. Burrow is accurate on 67.8 percent of those passes. He’s more than 10 percentage points better than anyone els

Yeah this fits a “system quarterback”

This was from a November 22 article in the athletic

His receivers are wide open in college. They won’t be in college. Ask Matt Leinhart/Mark Sanchez/Matt Barkley how that works out.

Who the hell said Manziel was a generational talent?

None of those guys are anywhere as close to accurate. None have the same pocket presence. And that's something burrow himself lacked at times last year.

He has improved his game a lot.

Does the system itself complete 78% of his passes for him? That’s the dumbest, laziest assessment of any quarterback ever. Every quarterback plays in a system.

That applies more to a Tua, who had ungodly talent around him at Bama, than Burrow at LSU who has good but not high NFL picks as WRs.

Chase may BECOME such a WR but Jerry Jeudy et all are likely high 1sts this season.

How much does it bother you that in Burrow’s GREATEST PASSING SEASON EVUH, Tua still has a better passer rating and will be drafted higher than him?

So much salt, so little time.

Lot of people thinking that Burrow is the goat also thought Methenberger was great too. Thought Russell was a stud too.

Every time Louisiana crowns the next best quarterback, they putter out. Some things never change.

Man I hate it for him but with that injury there is absolutely no way that tua gets drafted above burrow

Tua’s injured and will have to spend at least a year on the shelf recovering.

If he gets drafted above Burrow, it would be a shocker.

Y’all are setting yourself up for failure with Burrow.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I don’t think they will do that at this point, unless they can get good value for Jones from someone else.

Burrow will be a Bengal, IMO.

It is very obvious and has been broke down by broadcasters many times how he reads progressions and make nice throws.

There are also a ton of guys with guys running open in college.

One of the things that is commonly pointed out is that LSU is willing to attack the middle of the field. Is that because they trust Burrow to make good decisions and money throws?
