Probably except for one issue: LeBron is an Ohio native.

The Cavs already took a fanbase beating when he left for Miami and they already know another is coming when he bails for LA after this season. If they take sides in this mess, the fans stop coming to games a year early.

I don't think they should've traded LeBron but the Celtics and kyrie's recent play vindicate him from the criticism of wanting to lead his own team.

Why would Lebron go to LA?

Game 1 through 12 of the regular season are entirely irrelevant to that discussion.

He wants to move permanently to his LA home.

Won't be able to answer this until the season is over at the earliest.

More likely have to wait a couple of years to get the answer.

When Kyrie is 28, Lebron will still be better than him probably.

And I'm pretty sure the Cavs started pissing Kyrie off the moment they signed Lebron. So I think it was too late to side with Kyrie over Lebron.

What makes you think that Kyrie wanting to leave had anything to do with about not wanting to play with LeBron? Remember, Kyrie was there for the early years when the Cavs were dreadful. He knows how shitty the Cavs organization is without LeBron. Without any guarantees that LeBron would re-sign with the Cavs after next year, he probably didn't want to stick around and be left holding the bag stuck in a bad franchise. He even alluded to this in a postgame interview last week when he said it was nice playing for a "competent organization."

How exactly would CLE have even done this?

Doesn't seem feasible to me considering Kyrie was demanding out. I'm sure forcing him to stick around and play this season would have really made him love CLE and want to stay there.

No way that would have ever been possible.

Nope, they made the right choice. Lebron is still the better player. Easily. In fact, Id say for the next 3 years at least Lebron will still be the better player, even if he regresses by that time to like a 20/5/5 player.

If you think have Kyrie on this Cavs team instead of Lebron, guarantee they wouldn't be close to the Celtics 10-2 record. Matter of fact I would be willing to bet they would be closer to 2-10;

What good is that going to do Cleveland when LeBron is in LA next season?

Can you walk me through the process of choosing Kyrie over Lebron?

What does that look like?

laughing and haming it up with Kyrie over LeBron, attending to Kyrie's needs over Lebrons. Asking Kyrie's thoughts on things rather than LeBron's. etc etc etc

The last time the Cavs owner tried to spite Lebron, they were in complete mediocrity for 4 years. I'm pretty sure he learned his lesson.
