Should the Browns just throw in the towel?

I mean seriously...what's the point of keeping this charade going any longer? I think they should consider firing every coach, player and executive and starting from scratch, or do all the same plus move to a new city and change the name.

I have wondered this myself.
I don’t understand how with all of their high draft picks over the years that an organization could whiff that much.
I have no doubt I could have drafted better than the people they have paid millions to.

They draft people like this.

Let's say they sign Cousins and draft Barkley. How may wins do they get next year?

They could get Tom Brady and Antonio Brown and still find a way to lose

They just hired a new GM, they have 12 picks including five In top 100, and $120mil in cap space
Cool thread tho

They would have a championship by now if they drafted more linemen at the top of the board over flash in the pan players

Bump this thread in 12 months and let's see how much that matters

Pretty sure they've got like 6 in the top 65.

I can think of 10 teams that would switch places with the Browns

they have already moved out of town once (Baltimore) and did just that. guess it didn't work out that well.
the thing about it is that it really wouldn't be that difficult to turn around. it starts at the top.
frankly, I don't think they are much worse than the Texans organization. at least they finally got rid of smith.

I don't think things will change for them til they clear house from owners to GM to HC. Much like the Jags, we sucked forever, and as a fan I didn't see dramatic change in the team, and talent, until our old owners sold the team to Shad Kahn. He made a great GM hire, and finally got the right coaches this past year. It still took 4-5 years to come around, but things are looking up bigly for our organization. Browns need to do the same imo. No need to change the team name, or move the team from Cleveland. Cleveland is die hard for their Browns, if they even were competitive those fans would be wild.

They have all this pretty much every year.

They've done all of this over the past couple of years with a few exceptions (though they should've hit the reset button again on the coaching staff). They're in a solid spot with a decent amount of young talent and a bunch of premium picks in the upcoming draft.
It's the Browns so it's guaranteed to go horribly wrong somehow but the process to this point has been well executed (again with the exception of the coaching).

None of those are the biggest problem. What do the Browns, the Tennessee coaching search circus, and the Pilot Flying J rebate fraud scandal have in common? Answer that question and you'll know the biggest problem with the Browns.

Every year they’re near tops in the NFL in cap space and draft picks yet they’re awful every year. They’re going to frick this year up and everyone knows it.

No not really

Yeah really. Sign Cousins and use 1 and 4 to draft BPA is what I would try to do.

They're forever cursed until they stop claiming the history that left town with the Ravens.
