there was never a debate on who was better between Hurts and Burrow

that is what this is mostly, with a dash of Bama fatigue

Exactly. It's easy to look like a heisman candidate when you have the best lineman who protect you all day, and receivers who have all day to get open, and are fast as hell.

You cannot give up on a 1st rD player regardless of position after 1 year. They are worth too much in a salary cap league.

That said, I’d move on after next year if he doesn’t show improvement.

His deep balls have a ton of air on them. Those will be interceptions in the NFL. Not saying he’ll be a bust, just giving an example of a weakness

That’s not an Achilles heel that can’t be worked on though imo. We’ve clearly seen with Allen that you can work on godawful accuracy if you out the work in.

LSU has unbelievable receivers and WAY above average RBs.

It isn’t our fault y’all have no clue how to recruit the OL.

In the days of Bradford yea. Those days are thankfully over.

If that’s the case, Mac Jones is going to have a REALLY tough time around here

I thought Tua had a great arm in college

His WRs aren't open by +5yards deep down the field or open on a Slant in the NFL. He's a bust.

if the Dolphins cut bait with him I'd love the Saints to kick the tires, but I'd be very mad if we spent more than a 3rd rounder on him

big difference in an established organization and a team relying on him as a cornerstone to build one

Drafting /moving up to take Fields or Wilson with a top 3 overall pick after drafting a QB in the top 5 the previous year would be borderline retarded and the sign of a very dysfunctional organization.

Unless you are convinced the Tua thing wont work

See AZ with Rosen then Kyler

I don’t think Rosen has anywhere near the dedication to work hard and improve that Tua does.

Moving on from Rosen probably had just as much to do with his attitude and lack of intangibles.

Bruh, you ok?

This is the MSB. We're discussing a top draft pick of a team that, so far, looks light years behind Herbert and Burrow.

Calm down.

I’ve always said he won’t be as good as a pro as he did at Bama...... but the Dolphins don’t need to draft a QB until late or not at all.....

There were people on this board saying he was better than Burrow. Burrow would have at least ten wins on the Dolphins and that is without Fitzpatrick bailing him out.

He’s no Justin Herbert for sure.

This is why I'm not on the Trevor Lawrence hype train.

Lawrence didn't have great weapons this year and still had a really good season. He didn't have dudes running wide open all year. Nobody is drafting Lawrence bc he plays for Clemson - he could play for Duke and would still be drafted first overall bc of his talent and measurables.

What does an OU QB have to do with this?

This is a valid question...for fans and the media to discuss. But if the Dolphins are even remotely considering this, they’re insane.

Everything wrong with Tua’s game right now appears fixable to me. Dude spent half the year rehabbing a torn up knee, so maybe it’s a good idea to give the guy a full offseason-season cycle before disrupting (screwing up) the QB room
