While Bama being dropped for losing helps ND, I actually agree they shouldn't lose for having to play an extra game.

On the other hand conference championships are dumb so whatever gets rid of them I am okay with.

OU is a top 10 team. What are you even talking about?

Hard to tell what's from last year & this year (some rematches), but your list looks like the SECCG and a bunch of CFP games coming in ahead of it??

Why keep a game that knocks your conference out of those more lucrative CFP games?? It's had a great run but the writing is on the wall & we're all seeing it.
basically, only some of CFP games had higher ratings than the seccg. It's a huge money maker.

Bama arguably shouldn’t be in if they were to lose at all, but definitely not if they get blown out. They have a 2-touchdown loss to a 5-7 ACC team on their resume, plus an additional home loss, so a blowout 3rd loss on top of that should knock them out. But with that said, they won’t fall out; committee bumped them up to 9th to protect them/SEC/CCGs.

(They would deserve to be in if it weren’t for autobids, but this stupid format requires two of UVA/Tulane/North Texas/James Madison to get a participation trophy. I think a blowout SECCG loss should knock them out of the top-10, but not top-12.)

The SEC champ game brings in more revenue than the playoff games

I don't understand what people expect a top 10 team to look like. OU beat Bama @Bama, beat Michigan at home and lost to Texas and Ole Miss.

2-2 against top 20 teams is what a top 10 team has almost always been. Often top 10 teams are flawed, but they can get it together to beat most if not all teams

No 3 losses should be out especially if you only play 8 conf games

Only Alabama, Ohio State, ND, and Oregon have played ten Power 4 games. After this weekend Only Alabama and Ohio State will have played 11.

Didn't know that so maybe I would make an exception for them this year. But that FSU loss really hurts.

The only wildcard is that the committee would love a get out of jail free card to let both ND and Miami in. They're going to get roasted if and when they let ND over Miami.

The Committee put themselves in a no-win situation.

Miami should have been ranked 10th this week and Notre Dame 11th.

If Alabama and BYU both lose, how will they justify not penalizing Alabama if they lose but dropping BYU down below Miami.

Yes, regardless of what happens. Conference championship games mean nothing.
