Please explain to me how Alabama was better with Waddle, Smith and Metchie than they were with Waddle, Smith, Jeudy, Ruggs and Metchie.

Cool. What does that have to do with all of the QBs each played against? Better yet, compare the WHOLE rosters, you know the other 84 guys on scholarship.
Its the most important position on the field. it’s a decent enough reference point.
We played 13 players who got drafted in the first round in 2020. you played 5 that got drafted in 2021.
in 2019 we played 11 players who got drafted in the 1st round in 2021.
we beat you in 2019 when you had a better QB. 3 better WRs, a better OL and a better secondary.
Alabama fans will sit here with a straight face and pretend Dylan Moses getting hurt is why they lost in 2019

one group did have a better QB.
that is also the Group that had 2 additional 1st round WRs.

Banged up Tua was not on healthy Mac Jones’ level

Healthy Mac Jones never played in a stadium with fans.

Tua looked fine till the game was over. didn’t see him limping till you lost.
Tua was 21/40 with 418 4 TD and a Pick
Jones was 20/28 385 yards 4 TDs playing an astronomically worse defense.
Tua with a broken leg would have thrown for 4 TDs vs LSU in 2020

For the NFL yes. For college? Not really

And the rest of the draft? What about 2022? And how many of them were actual contributors in the NFL?

You beat Bama by 5. How badly did Bama beat LSU in 2020? How badly did Georgia beat you in 2022?

Part of what made that first 2011 LSU-Alabama matchup so epic were the stakes. Both of those teams were GOAT contenders, and we thought it was going to be winner-take-all.
Arkansas got the worst shake that year. In an average CFB year that team is in national title contention and possibly the best team in the country. Debatably they were the best team that year if Alabama and LSU didn’t exist. But Alabama and LSU did exist, so an otherwise title contending team had to settle for third in their own division lol…

Y’all do know that no one outside of this message board even considers 2019 LSU in the GOAT conversation right?

LSU beat all but 2 teams ranked in the final top 8 that year. The only thing about the 2020 bama team was they “handled” covid better than everyone else. Amazing how none of their players got COVID. TOSu had 13 players out including 3 starters. They played with a covid advantage all year. Also, LSU beat three of the top five paid NFL quarterbacks that year, and that’s including Burrow in the top 5. So they didn’t play 1 qb.

It’s still the most
important position. you have to be exceptionally better at every other spot to make up for a mid QB.

why don’t you look it up?
I can tell you 4 of the guys we played in 2019 are now Starting QBs on NFL teams. Which is where we started. How many did you play in 2020?
You had 6 first rounders that year and played 5 all season.

What’s your point here? We were significantly worse in 2020 than 2019. We lost like 6 first rounders, our returning WRs opted out. We started a True Freshmen who is still a bad QB.
and 2022 is 3 seasons later. UGA spent those years stacking top 3 classes while we rebuild our entire roster.
what does that have to do with anything?
Posted on 8/27/24 at 6:13 pm to Dairy Sanders
2020 Bama was worse than 2019 bama.

That’s gotta be rough, thinking you had the greatest team ever when two teams in your own damn conference outdo you by a clear margin in the 2 of the next 3 seasons.
And this is the whole point of your post, to troll LSU fans.
No team from the 2020 Covid season should be in the discussion for greatest of all time.
End of season 2019 LSU beats end of season 2020 Alabama by 3 TDs and end of season 2022 Georgia by 14-17 points because Georgia scores a late TD. We all saw all 3 teams play. It was obvious who was better and who ended the season playing at the highest level.

And yet you continuously argue for the team that is clearly the worst of the 3 even when presented with objective proof of who is better. This is why LSU fans are universally considered the worst of the SEC. Not because you are impressive or intimidating but because of the overwhelming ignorance and arrogance of the fanbase.

Those are just 2 football games, 1 for each. That’s not very telling, especially considering Mac lit it up too.

2001 Miami.
I saw the 2000 Miami Hurricanes play in person. They were on another level. I never say a college team could beat an NFL team. But that 2000/2001 Miami team could have probably beat several NFL teams.

as great as 2001 Miami was they would not win a shootout with 2019 LSU.
it wouldn't be a shootout with hall of famers like ed reed and wilfork on defense. cmon
