no... they can ask nicely, pretty please with a cherry on top, but the Pelicans can quickly tell them to go frick themselves, and hire a competent GM, while they are at it...
the Pelicans are under no obligation to do the Lakers' job for them, they cannot nor will they be compelled to alter the terms of the agreement that BOTH parties agreed to, in principle, already... the moral of the story is read the fine print...

While this is embarrassing and he Pelinka should be fired for it.. this will honestly work out better for the Lakers. Since they don’t have the ability to get a 3rd max they’ll be forced to use the money on multiple players. Which is ideal..

Yea I wouldn't be thrilled with that prospect lol.
My dream is they deal kuz and more to get the space and sign Kyrie.
That dude will tear that locker room apart.
Just imagine if they signed Kyrie to a 4 year deal, and AD leaves after next season because the locker room is so toxic he'd rather go to NY than re sign wit them.
