DFS opting out definitely isnt helping either
If they sign Ayton for peanuts due to his opt-out opening cap space then it's really helping giving Lakers a center without having to use any assets.

So you are saying you would trade a couple of bad players for a good player to get worse?
Don't teams make questionable moves all the time during the season in the name of dumping contracts and clearing future cap space.
With that said, I was not suggesting that the team that LeBron would necessarily get worse. Just that after they made the trade for LeBron, they would happen to have the fortune of ending up with the #1 overall pick regardless of how slim the odds are. Luke trade, AD trade, Benson buying Pelicans (were they still Hornets at the sale?)

Losing DFS really sucks. Looks like he’s getting a bag from CC

Marc Stein @TheSteinLine · 2h Houston is believed to be readying a four-year offer to Dorian Finney-Smith, sources say. The Lakers know it will be difficult to retain DFS and maintain desired long-term financial flexibility but entered Monday hoping it was still possible.

Around 37% federal and 13.3% California State income tax. Over 1 million in California means an extra 1% over 12.3
There's also property and local city taxes of some sort
You realize they are taxed in each state they play in so only 40 games will have CA taxes

yeah, it's really hurt LeBron
Oof, getting sucked into a low effort Mattz troll.

He’s also a California resident. It’s a lot more complicated than that

Is he going to play until he’s 50?
