I like that ShaggyBevo tends to contain its meltdowns to single threads. Makes it much more coherent and enjoyable than on the Tiger Rant where hundreds of new threads constantly pop up addressing the same topic.

The site also seems to be admin free. They let a lot of stuff go on that board that most sites would never allow

From what I can remember and has been posted over there, Shaggy is the result of an over zealous mod on another site (Hornfans maybe?). A few users got pissed and decided to make their own site where they could bad mouth coaches and/or players, and cussing and NSFW pictures would not only be tolerated but enjoyed.
Edit: I have an account over there but don't read or post over there very often. While the humor can be funny in small doses, it's annoying if you stick around very long. I kinda view it as the 4chan of sports forums.

I figured this was the case. A lot of laissez-faire forums get started out of bitterness. It's surprising to see that ShaggyBevo has stayed loosely policed for so long, since typically said forums start out that way but then pressure begins mounting from users complaining about explicit content and companies refusing to advertise on the site.
