Bryant, James and O'Neal are terrific individual players. They can get to where they need to go. However, they would be guarded by Jordan, Bird and Chamberlain. The only clear edge is James over Bird due to size and quickness (and versatility). Malone vs. Duncan? I can make a case for either. The benches make the difference.

If you include Isiah Thomas instead of Chris Paul, you may have a case for Team 1. Otherwise, I'd choose Team 2.

Everything I'm finding has Wilt at 275 and Shaq at 325.

look for wilt's weights with the Lakers

he was lighter when he was younger and he lost weight after retiring, but he was around 325-330 when he won with West and Baylor

Is the guy who picked team 1 older than 25? I mean Durant is not a top 25 player all time. Ray Allen is not a top 25 player of all time. Rodman is not a top 25 player of all time. Paul is not a top 5 PG of all time.

Team 2 is 10 of the best 25 players ever...except for maybe Dirk but his game is extremely unique.

Team 1 has maybe 7...and they have too many PFs and only 1 PG total

Huh?

This is in their prime, which is usually a 2-3 year stretch of play. Paul can put together stats that show he is EASILY a top 5 PG of all time.

Accomplishments? No. Statistically and skill set at the moment? Most definitely.

I can give you 5 now

Stockton
Magic
Kidd
Nash
Robertson
Thomas

Actually I'll give you 6. And don't tell me Paul is better than Kidd or Nash. This LSU site is blinded by the homerism for the Hornets. Guy is a good PG but I'm not even sure he's the best in the league today

Yes. I seriously doubt Wilt could touch Arnold on a squat, deadlift, straight bar curl, etc.

Where is the Big O? Where is the NBA's all-time scoring leader? I don't even want to answer your question anymore.

This is just funny. Wilt is one of the greatist all round athletes to play the game. He would run Oneals arse out of the gym.

At his peak, he is absolutely better than Kidd and Nash.

Interesting non-verifiable bet, but I'd say Team 2 easily. If they played best of 7. Team two would win in 5 games. Team 2 physically on par w/ team 1 (actually maybe more considering the "in their prime" qualification) but Team 2 is comprised of the basketball "team" players ever.. their basketball IQ would be collectively off the charts. If the additional condition of "without coaching" was added...I'd bet pretty much anything I could get my hands on that Team 2 would win. I think they could just join up and and beat Team 1. The free throw contest between Shaq and Wilt would be interesting.

I'd like to see Maravich added. I would put him up against any G in the game today.

Paul's Peak, 2008 and 2009 was better than any season Nash or Kidd has, by a decent margin too.

Top 3 PER seasons of all time for PGs, ALL belong to Chris Paul, for crying out loud

Team 2.

Any team that has both Magic and MJ is going to be extremely difficult to prevent from scoring. And Magic and MJ could play together. Magic gives the ball up.

I love Shaq but I think you take Wilt in that matchup. He was stronger, almost as big, and much more athletic.

I don't know why you are so convinced Wilt is stronger than Shaq, Shaq is bigger, he is as much of a freak athlete as Wilt, and has had the benefits of extensive weight training more so than Wilt enjoyed. I would be willing to bet that in their basketball primes Shaq was stronger.
