I won't try to answer for other but for me it boils down to a few things.

One, he's arrogant. Hell, I'm arrogant but at work I know I can't be. My success boils down alot to my likability. For some, their content or substance can outweigh their arrogance and for me, he just doesn't do it.

Two, he continually blows things way out of proportion. The exaggerated rants, fake hard laughs, etc just isn't my preference.

Third, I am more of a content guy and he's more of a production guy. For my money and tie, Hanny is the best BR has ever seen. Scone has done well and that approach works (he graduated top of his class from the Colin Cowherd school of journalism) but I think he's rather spend hours and hours researching a way to prove an edgy take than he would looking into something organically and see how it develops. Sometimes you don't need an answer but he too frequently feels that there is an answer, he knows it and if you don't agree you're wrong.

I used to like him when I was younger but he lost me when he was pumping gamecoin and trying to convince everyone that it was the next big thing and used his influence to inflate the price then dump it off. That was the slimiest, most piece of shite move I’ve personally seen a radio personality pull off.

Also, the fact that he’s constantly pumping his roofing company on the air is corny and douchey too.

He just comes across as a piece of shite grifter to me. If he wants to make money by being an idiot on the radio be my guest, but I’m not going to listen to a radio show where some dickbag tries to get as much free advertisement as he can and put his hand in my pocket IRL

I liked him better before he got his own show. I think he discovered that being a contrarian gets more ratings than just saying what his actual opinion is, and so now he just comes off as fake, even when he’s giving his actual thoughts. I’d rather listen to someone who I feel is more genuine. Also, I think he lost something when his show went to 3 hours. I think there’s way too much filler and commercials now. I do still listen in small doses but now nearly as much as I used to.

Excellent breakdown here. So I like most of the shows but I really found it’s interesting how many F bombs this wanna be smart guy drops on his other show. If he was who he thinks he is he’d have more to say or other ways to say it. I’m not offended I just don’t think it shows much intelligence to be over the top with high volume of f bombs. Also, this bud light thing he’s doing. I know it’s for the distributor but when he gets all indignant about he doesn’t care about the listener’s politics. What a pansy stance when it’s got nothing to do with politics for many. I mean I have to have a political stance to know bud light did something stupid?

Because he uses his brain and generates logical and coherent takes on LSU sports.

The hate for him is funny because most posters here just regurgitate talking points from other media personalities. For some reason Scone isn’t worthy.

There was a segment he did last year a couple weeks before the football season. He talked for at least 30 min on how LSU has always had an elite Kick/Punt returner for the past 20 seasons. He went into great detail about the past guys and how Malik Nabers is the next great returner. He was confident on his take, but I never heard him mention it after the obvious woes in the return game.

As an LSU fan, I enjoy his show.

I dislike when his voice goes up high pitched. Nails on a chalkboard to me.

Living in Birmingham is hard enough and Scone along with Hanny, Ott and Hunt help - there are times I am not crazy about the content or the commentary, but overall you get good info on the Tigers as well as the rest of the conference and top programs across the nation - in Bham its the gumps and awburn - for those of you that complain, you just do not know how great you have it.

Didn’t know him but found his podcast and listened to his daily updates during the World Series and thought it was great.

I can't say I dislike him, but he gives off a Brando vibe at times in the name dropping and that he seems to love him some him.

I do think he's better prepared than Brando who just thinks his time in the business and name is all he needs to offer an opinion. Matt does research and back his takes with much more substance than Bingo Bango.

One segment of his I just can't listen to anymore though is the Wednesday segment during football season with an alleged SEC football expert who's name escapes me. They carry on the whole segment as if there's an inside joke, fake laughing all the way and this guest has the worst takes imaginable.

Chuck Oliver is the worst with repeating himself in order to fill time.

Hunt Palmer is quickly becoming my favorite. I like both his even keeled takes and the pace of the show. I think he's found his radio voice too. His show works much better by himself. I wish Hanny was still solo.

I’ve always found the Moscona hate hilarious because he is the perfect epitome of a Rant poster. This board is littered with posters exactly like Scone, but nobody looks at themselves in that light, which I’m sure he doesn’t either.

used to really enjoy his show. Now it has become too much let’s talk about how I was right but never acknowledge when I’m wrong.

This!

I mostly listen to Hunt Palmer and Hannie/Ott now. I share a love of LSU baseball, so Hunt is my #1.
