“SEC was down this year” - when’s the last time any other conference had 5 in top 13?

Anyone want to figure this out or would y’all rather keep pretending like the SEC is on the same level as the other conferences despite what the last 20 year has shown us over and over?

Everyone was down this year

Has LSU had just an average defense, they would have waltzed into the playoffs

Such a wasted year

When nearly every team in America isn't good...it's easy to say a conference is down. College Football is a dog shite product.

4 SEC teams in the New Year's Six Bowl. Is that a record?

By the way, you don’t even have to “trust” the SEC is better in order to see Bama had a more impressive resume.

Bama had 3 wins vs top 15
Texas had 1 wins vs top 15.

Did I dream that there was a 3 team per conference rule at one point?

SEC records are inflated by playing 8 conference games. It's apples to oranges.

The SEC had a losing record against P5 teams. The best OOC win for the SEC was Louisville...

It's just Bama hate/envy. Let them drown in their pathetic tears.

when you beat each other and then credit for those wins for beating each other you get a mediocre hodge podge

and those rankings are also subjective nothingness, teams ranked like 8-30 would all be able to beat other in any given game it’s not like it’s a huge cliff. there’s always dumb inconsistencies when you start comparing resumes for teams ranked 10-30 where it’s clear the committee mails it in and just goes by record and brand

Go ahead & count OU/Texas as SEC and that’s 7 in top 13

So if Texas and Bama play in the NCG and Texas wins, Bama should be named champs right? They will still have more top 15 wins

This must be your first year following this. Let me hold your hand and explain. First, the committee is supposed to determine who the top 4 teams are, and what most wise people believe that means is that they are supposed to determine the top 4 resumes. After that is determined, THEN those 4 teams participate in a playoff and whoever wins the playoff wins the Championship. Any questions?

The "SEC is down" because the teams you see near the top are named Mizzouri and Ole Miss. If you take those team names and replace them with LSU, Tennessee, Florida or aTm then this conference is having the best season ever.

The SEC has dominated winning the national championship. Not having Bama or Georgia in the final 4 would be more egregious than Fla. St. getting left out.

Maybe these other conferences should try beating whatever SEC team that’s in the playoffs. Michigan losing to TCU last season only to have TCU curb stomped by Georgia pretty much shows the disparity in SEC vs everyone else at the end of the season.

Weird reply, you completely ignored what you quoted.

But again, So if Texas and Bama play in the NCG and Texas wins, Bama should be named champs right? They will still have more top 15 wins...right?

You guys have completely lost it trying to justify a one loss Big 12 champ being given the nod over an undefeated ACC team.
