9 SEC games

3 permanent rivals you play every year

6 games that rotate yearly. So you’ll play each of the remaining 12 conference opponents once every other year.

I don’t know who LSU’s 3 permanent rivals would be though. They’re going to probably try to stick us with Oklahoma since they made that our rivalry week game. Hopefully the other 2 are Ole Miss and Bama, but who knows.

I doubt we’ll get Florida every year because Florida has bigger rivalries with Georgia and Tennessee and I think the league would probably make the 3rd team someone like South Carolina or Kentucky to try to balance the strength of schedule out across the league. Having UGA, Tennessee, and LSU every year is brutal.

It’s amazing how quickly the power in college football switched from the SEC to the BIG. The BIG is calling the shots because they have the real money. I find it hilarious that years ago Sankey was walking around like Boss Hogg and now he’s Roscoe. Expansion into the 20’s is almost here. Then this sport will be legit and everyone’s previous Natties get the asterisk.

They really hate college football and don’t care if they kill it.

SEC was never going past this year with 8 games

They were never going to risk dropping the iron bowl, Auburn-UGA, LSU-bama, Texas-A&M, ect for two years

remember when the B1G thought this back in 2020 only for the SEC to laugh in its face and it had to come crawling back like a beaten dog with its tail between its legs

Hey OSU, Iowa and Nebraska wanted to play.

Blame that crap on Michigan and their liberal governor for knowing they were gonna suck and did suck.

Should've stayed at 8 but required everyone to play 2 P4 OOC annually. This really screws UF/UGA/UK/SCar.

They don’t need to, but they should play 9 P4 games at a minimum

The second anyone starts chasing money the product is destroyed. Doesn’t matter the industry.

I'm kind of surprised by the hate for this move in this thread. Yeah, scheduling big OOC games may be more tricky, but, as a fan of traveling to games, I love this. If I can't make it to Athens, Knoxville, etc. for an away LSU game, I know there will be another in 4 years.

People are focusing on the rival we will lose in Alabama or Florida most likely, but now we will play every SEC school every two years. That is great. The difference was always noticeable when we would travel to non Florida SEC east schools. It was like playing an OOC game compared to an SEC West rival. That should change now.

Love the playing no divisions, playing every team every 2 years. Not sure on the 9 game schedule, honestly preferred 8 games with a different variety of OOC games. Feel like each team will now just do a single marquee OOC game vs. two, which is bad overall imo.

Can we use this as justification to evict ATM?

If we are going to kick teams out, we have to start with Mizzou.

Mizzou SECCG appearances hold little weight, I guess.

frick that.

If they refuse to join a conference they should be required to play 12 P4 games, and the highest playoff position they'll ever be eligible for is the very last spot, and to get there they have to be undefeated.

They've completely gutted what used to be a totally separate spectacle.

Used to be so great watching undefeated Auburn and Florida State get left out of having a chance to play for a national title.

I'll take 9-2 Oklahoma and 9-2 LSU playing in November for a spot in the playoffs any day as opposed to your season being over after your first loss

Most teams are only playing 1 as it is.

LSU has Clemson, then La Tech, SELA, and Western Kentucky.

All Alabama played last year was Wisconsin
