Habs need a win tonight. I think they’re out of WC now with Pens win today.

ROR is a stud

Even when everyone else stunk it up, he was still a point per game guy, doing everything out there.

What a steal he was.

At present, they're still one point ahead of Carolina, who don't play until Tuesday.

I bet the Habs, so I'm pulling for them...meaning that they're likely screwed.

Blues are abusing the Wild right now. If this score holds, it'll be their third straight shutout.

Blues winning streak is their longest since 2002. How are the Islanders leading the Metropolitan?

Islanders goaltending has been insanely strong.

Barry Trotz is apparently pretty good at coaching

I was really surprised the Capitals didn’t find a way to keep Trotz.

It's their longest in franchise history

They've wanted him gone for years.

The defensive system he's using for NYI is working well, and his goalie is standing on his head night after night. But two areas are linked obviously.

It'll be interesting to see how that system around in the playoffs. No reason to think it wont.

I don’t know why anyone in Washington DC would want Trotz gone after winning their first championship in team history. Pay the man and be thankful you finally stopped underachieving with him.

What a strange situation the Islanders are in. They play half their home games at Nassau Coliseum. But play the other half at Barclays Center. It’s got to be a headache for all the fans and players juggling going to both arenas. If they make the playoffs they will play the first round at Nassau Coliseum, but don’t know where they will play after that. Barclays Center is the only arena I know of that has a truck parked right behind the boards. WTF?

How you feeling about tonight's match up vs TB?

#1 team in the East. I think they can handle it. Been playing well. The little that I have seen

I hate to say this, but...

How much fun are the Carolina Hurricanes? If you're in the market for a team, man... they are simply fun. And any team that makes Don cherry upset can't be all bad, even if they do employ Jeff Skinner.

While a terrible game for the Caps last night...OV got his 40th goal. What a legend.

Hoping for 55, but want at least 50.

His march up the ladder continues:

Wayne Gretzky, 894
Gordie Howe, 801
Jaromir Jagr, 766
Brett Hull, 741
Marcel Dionne, 731
Phil Esposito, 717
Mike Gartner, 708
Mark Messier, 694
Steve Yzerman, 692
Mario Lemieux, 690
Teemu Selanne, 684
Luc Robitaille, 668
Brendan Shanahan, 656
Alexander Ovechkin, 647

This year, he has passed Dino, Bobby Hull, Iginla, Sakic and Andreychuk.
