In the spirit of the season, Welcome to the Party Pal! But seriously, love new hockey fans, it's the best sport.

I was expecting it to be cool going in but seriously it was much better than I was even expecting. The pace is just unbelievable

Sadly, this has been the highlight of the year.

quote:

There has been no official word from the Blues or the NHL, but St. Louis will be awarded the league’s 2020 All-Star Game at Enterprise Center. During an early October visit to St. Louis for a Blues game and a tour of Enterprise renovations, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman indicated that an All-Star Game wouldn’t take place here next season. “I wouldn’t anticipate an All-Star Game here next (season),” Bettman said at the time. But that’s no longer the case. The Post-Dispatch confirmed Thursday that St. Louis will play host to the All-Star Game in January of 2020, as first reported by The Athletic.

Live games are always better, no matter what the sport. That said, the first hockey game that I saw live blew me away with its speed and intensity. That's especially true is you can get seats near the glass and experience the players checking each other into the boards or scrambling for the puck right in front of you. Glad that you enjoyed the experience.

Went to my first NHL game ever tonight. Awesome experience and I guess I’m on the Bolts bandwagon now. New Hockey fan here.

Vinik and the entire Lightning organization have done an incredible job with the gameday experience. They are an entirely different level then every other professional team in Florida.

Good team to get on the bandwagon on. The Bolts are friggin' loaded and easily the team to beat.

But they will likely have to beat the Leafs and then either the Penguins or Caps to even make the Finals. That's a tough road to hoe.

So Jim Lites just lit a bonfire under Benn's and Seguin's asses

I was just coming to post that.

not a great thing to hear. but he's not entirely wrong.

big problem is dallas has scored only 20 goals in the 1st period all year. Tampa bay has 50.

unless Khudobin puts in a godly performance in the crease, this team just doesn't have many tools to win enough games to get a decent seed.

still December, a lot can and will happen

I dont know if that's the right way to go about it. It's one thing to come out and say they need to play better, but to take it to that vulgar level in the public is a bit much.

You want to say it in that manner to their face? That's fine, but there's repercussions from this.

For a team that has had issues bringing in big name free agents, this certainly doesn't help.

Also he backs Nill a lot in there, and while I've liked a number of his moves (especially to have the balls to not give up Miro for a guy like Karlsson), everyone in the media has begged for more consistent scoring pop on the second line and hes done absolutely nothing there

Yeah, this is one of those things that could either kickstart their season or could end with one or both of them demanding a trade. It's a bold strategy.

Stars starting off the homestand in an emphatic way. really really need to get 7 of the next 10 home tilts and go 2-2 at worst on the road. can’t be clinging to the 8th spot come the new year

Would much prefer Globe Life, but either way, I'll be there.

Also, look, another scoreless first period for the Stars
