UCF was in the American Athletic Conference and there was a 4 team playoff when he left. He couldn’t then, that’s a fair statement.

Cincinnati made the 4 team playoff in '21 as a member of the AAC.
Granted, Cincy had to do a frickload of winning over several years to get there but it was proven to be possible.

4 years after he left and a decent amount of chips had to fall for that to even happen.
The post I replied to was implying Frost is saying that about current day UCF. Which is disingenuous AF because current day UCF is now in an auto bid conference in a playoff that’s 3 and about to be 4 times as many teams

Joe Burrow wanted to transfer to Nebraska in 2018. That where his dad and his brothers played. Scott Frost showed no interest saying that he wan't better than any of the QB's on the roster.
