Taking the family to the Savannah Bananas game tonight at the box. Any suggestions how early we should get there and where we should try to sit?

2 hours early to wait in line and claim your 10 seats before all the Karens do.

And yes I’m serious. People will be running to get in the grandstand. It’s open seating.

I was told many people left early because it was lame. Maybe that was anecdotal.

Friends of mine were an hour early and looked like they were beyond first base about half way up. They said they should've gotten there earlier.

Thanks. Is parking down past the stadium like it usually is for a game?

What's with the Savannah Bananas? At my orthodontist's office they were having a ticket giveaway. We live in the Midwest.

Just read that people were in line after lunch time. Get there really early. Said they were in the outfield and had trouble hearing/seeing so they watched on the jumbo tron most of the time.

We got there at 5:15 last night and should've been there an hour or more earlier. Get seats down the first or third baseline. It was difficult to hear from the outfield and you are a bit out of the action. Wonderful experience to bring kids. We would go again in a heartbeat.

You had to be told it was lame?

Stayed 90% full all night. If anyone left it was because their kids got tired. A lot of kinds under 10 were there last night.

Don’t listen to the haters. It’s great entertainment

Agreed. I watched as much of it as I could take last night. As long as you understand that it's main purpose is entertainment. Everything I watched was kind of corny. I'd rather just watch a well played, regular baseball game. However, I understand the appeal.

Nah, it's an LSU tradition to beat the traffic.

I kinda knew, but didn't want to rain on anyone's fun.

I am sure there are those who think that type of stuff is a blast, and that is cool.

But with the immense hype leading up to this, I bet there were a large number of people who showed up and were like "I waited in line for 2 hours for THIS?"

And I imagine if you were in the bleachers behind the outfield fences, you missed most of the action.

They broadcast every game on YouTube and are all over social media. What they do is well known I don’t what people would be expecting. It was totally as advertised.

The Sand Gnats are bad this time of the year. Take some "Off" or wear long sleeved clothing.
