“Your lies”

Says the guy who’s not only been proven wrong on every aspect of this argument but cannot provide a single bit of proof to back his accusations. Sorry being butt hurt and bigoted isn’t a valid argumentative position in the real world.

Dying brand. It's more of an activist organization than sporting organization these days. Hope it goes bankrupt under the weight of their TV deals that nobody is watching.

NBA players earn more money through endorsements because basketball is a much more popular sport worldwide right now.

The top NBA stars have a much higher name recognition than their MLB peers. Not even close.

NBA markets their stars more than any league on this planet.

MLB is probably the worst case of that.

Yet one is dickslapping the other in revenue. You’ve got one league where players who can’t even make an all star roster are being paid $25-35 million while the other has young stars from all over the globe signing for less than market value before they even hit free agency yet you want me or anyone with a lick of common sense to believe the NBA doesn’t have problems. The moment guys like Mike Conley, Khris Middleton, and Tobias Harris started getting $30 million a year was when the league signed it’s own death certificate. Either Adam Silver has to grown a spine and a set of balls or that league is fricked 5 times past Friday and David Stern ain’t walking through that door to fix his frickery.

Last year LSU-Alabama game averaged 16.7 million and peaked at 20.6 million.

That is a 44% drop in average viewers and a 43% drop from peak viewership for college football which is probably the second greatest viewed sport in our nation right after the NFL.

You guys must be boycotting that too?

Best part is how they didn't want to highlight the biggest game of the college football season so far with Alabama and Georgia almost had a 50% drop to a comparable game from last season.

Ok, so you can't actually address the fact that college football lost almost 50% of it's viewership.

Hey maybe you guys should stop boycotting that too so those ratings can go back up

Has it though?
You’re comparing this game to a 3:30 game on CBS

Let’s compare this to a similar game at a similar time on CBS?
Last years Notre Dame Georgia game, 8:00 on CBS

No. 5 – (7) NOTRE DAME at (3) GEORGIA – Saturday, Sept. 21, 8pm EST, CBS

Viewers: 9.29 million

Rating: 5.4

Result: Georgia 23 – Notre Dame 17

LSU is just a much bigger national brand than the choke artist that is UGA. It was also later in the season and had Tua versus Joe. A lot of different factors.

But yeah, a 44% drop is bad. Really bad. But it starting at 8 EST on a Saturday is also a terrible time. I stayed up to watch it all, but 3 people I was in grand isle with (in laws and wife) didn’t.

It’s not just staying up. It’s a Saturday night
People are out, they’re not home watching or streaming college football

Here’s last years most watched games

Well, that douche has since been ousted from the league, so we don’t really know what kind of effect his bullshite would’ve had if he stayed in.

But it didn't. You can't compare a 3:30 PM kickoff time slot to an 8:30 PM kickoff time slot and do it justice. This year's CBS prime time game (Georgia-Alabama) was very comparable in ratings to last year's CBS prime time game (Notre Dame-Georgia).

And that Georgia-Notre Dame game had more national appeal. This game was between two schools in neighboring states that don’t have a rivalry or that big of an intrigue.

I’ve watched more KBO this year than NBA. Let that sink in.

Actually that night Texas was playing Okie State and Oregon were playing Stanford, so Notre Dame vs UGA had some competition with other big games stealing viewers.

Which big draw did Alabama-UGA go up against?

They basically were the only thing to watch primetime and had almost 50% drop to a comparative primetime game with Alabama-LSU.

Which prime time game are you referring to? The last time Alabama and LSU were on TV in that slot was 2018. The game averaged 11.54 million views, which was up from the 3 million viewers who tuned in back in 2017 to watch Alabama play LSU in prime time.

Now we use nuance ? Yet you compare previous years NBA ratings in June to 2020 ratings when NBA playoffs / Finals are up against NFL / MLB playoffs / CFB,etc...... June when the NBA picks up the casual NFL & CFB fans who have few sports options to a saturated market in October .

You all don't want a reasonable "discussion" just a little alt right circle jerking.
