Saints showing why it's a terrible idea to rest offensive starters with a bye week before the playoffs. Brees and company have essentially had two weeks off and they look rusty as hell. There's a reason why Belichick never rests Brady. He always plays Brady for at least one half in the final week of the season even when there's nothing at stake. And the Patriots offense rarely looks rusty in the Divisional Round.

I'll never understand why teams rest their started the last week of the season, especially when they have a first round bye. History says its not a good idea.
